My time line for visitor visa request
7th May - Application submitted
8th May - Bio metrics Letter received
10th May - Completed Bio metrics at nearby collection center
23rd May - Correspondence Letter received
after this no communication, on the account login it shows your application is in progress. I have not received Passport request.
can somebody help me with How much time it takes for passport request after correspondence letter is received.

Passports sent to VAC New York
Guys,
I received the Passport Request letter from CIC on May 22, 2019.
I sent them the following documents;
1. Passport request Letter,
2. Two copies of consent letter,
3. Cashier's check for the Passport Transmission Fee and
4. Passport
to the VAC in New York on May 24, 2019 via UPS. The package was delivered by UPS to the VAC on May 29, 2019.
Is there a general ETA on how soon do i get the tracking number from the VAC or an update as to when i will get my passports mailed back?
Because, it is the passport(the only official document), i am a little on the edge(worried).

Hi to everyone
Pls I need urgent answer, i applied for a Canada tourist visa with my 3 children on the 8th of May 2019, I was sent a mail that my document was sent to Canada visa applications, with my tracking number ID and also with my children's own, I i tried to track, at first it said no record found, but after 3days it says visa tracking number is is on process, and since on the 20th of May it has be saying no record found, I have not received any response from them, but I i hope this is no bad sign.

URGENT No Biometrics Walkins
I am traveling to Canada on June 16th (1 week) for a conference. I applied via online and received the bio-metrics letter last Friday (24th). My home state is North Carolina and I don't see any bio-metrics appointments available till the 7th of June (Friday).
I tried both the application centers in North Carolina and they don't allow walk-ins. What are my other options to expedite this process.
If I end up doing bio-metric on the 7th of June. I will have exactly 6 working days to get my application approved and passport stamped. Is this possible at all or should I cancel the flight.

Visa Stamping Question
Hi all,
Applied online from South Africa 3rd May.
Biometrics completed in South Africa 9th May.
Still waiting for passport request letter.
Due to travel to SA to London on 11th June.
Due to travel London to Canada on 12th June.
In order for me not to have to reschedule both flights - is it possible to get my visa stamped while I am in LONDON at a CVAC? Or does it have to be in South Africa, where I live and completed biometrics?
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi All,
Some update from my last post regarding passport not returned for Canada visitor visa. Came to know that I have missed to send the Consent Form for the VAC without which the application remains on hold.
Has anybody faced this issue?
Can I get my passports back from VAC NY office if I go there in person?

No Acknowledgement or status update
Hi All,
I sent my passport to the Canada VAC NY on 18th May 2019. It was delivered by Fedex on 20th May.

Unclear if I can pickup my passport from VAC
I received an email on 16th May saying:
"Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxx - An envelope of your decision that has been processed has been sent from the IRCC office, on the date to the Canadian Visa Application Center at Canada Visa Application Centre, New York. Please note that this is an automated e-mail. Please DO NOT reply to this email."
After this email, I have not received any communication from their side. I opted for passport pickup from the NY VAC. I am unsure if my passport is ready for pickup. When I log in the trv appilcation website, my application status says approved and document is written as counterfoil. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Proof of Biometric Payment Receipt? Where to find if you pay alongside with your application?
Everything went fine, i applied online paid 100 CAD for application and 85 CAD for biometrics, I got BIL and schedule appointment with CVAC NY at the chance that I am in New York, and received passport request the following week.
I mailed in my passport since I live in Illinois, I have been told that since I applied my biometrics in CVAC NY when I sent in my passport I should be exempted from $19.90 package transmission fee,
that is where it gets tricky, CVAC NY told me to show them a proof of biometric payment receipt in order to be exempted, I show them that I have receipt 185CAD receipt which is the only receipt the online application provided but without explicitly list out the biometrics payment proof, it is just a total number
oh my gosh, I find all the place that I have but there is no place on IRCC website to find out your biometrics payment receipt, the only channel that I see is to open a WebForm and submit your inquiry which according to website that they get respond in 2 weeks of time
My advice, just same your energy and worrisome and just paid $19.90 even if you have submit your biometrics at a CVAC, because according to their VFShelpline they can't locate any information regarding to your biometric payment nor it can verify your payment or receipt via your BIL
VFShelpline usually takes later than 24 hours just to respond your email
