I765 - I131 Case was Approved
You can read about my experience below.
I just had the update this afternoon that both my I-765 and I-131 changed to Case was Approved.
After my priority date of November 1, 2013 for I-140 and RD for AOS on May 28, 2019, after 9 months of long wait, I have good news!
I wish everybody best of luck.

RD May 28, 2019 - New card being produced !!!
Hello,

After 9 months of a long and frustrating wait, today I saw that the online status for I-765 changed to "New card is being produced".

RD - 05/28/2019
Biometrics - 06/26/2019
Long silence
First SR : Mid-December through I-131
RFE for I-864 Affidavit or Support - 12/30/2019
RFE response mailed to USCIS - 02/10/2020
RFE response received by USCIS - 02/13/2020
Second SR: 02/21/2020
New card is being produced I-765 - 02/25/2020

I am very happy to hear about these news today. My case took quite long, and I am hoping to get my card soon. After the Biometrics, the wait was quite frustrating. On last December I sent a SR when I became eligible
On early January this year, I went to my main I-485 application and saw that an RFE was issued to my main application on 7th month mark.
Unfortunately I never received the original RFE letter. I had to call up USCIS and the next day I called very early at 8AM in order to speak to a Tier 2 agent. Tier 2 agent emailed me a copy of the RFE letter.
The RFE was about affidavit of support, that it was completed incorrectly. My application is F2B, I am applying through my mom who is a USC, after a long 6 year wait. Uscis said that Affidavit of support must come from the petitioning sponsor, which is my mom, even if a joint sponsor is used (initially we put the joint sponsor on i864, and my petitioner on i864a).
I prepared the required documents and sent to USCIS with the copy of the RFE letter and a cover letter.

About a couple days after following the USPS delivering the response package, I saw that my I485 status was updated to RFE response received.
Today morning, I finally had the great news. Meanwhile, I have a question:

The status of my I765 was updated to "New card is being produced", yet the i131 is still at "case received". I read some posts that this does not necessarily mean that my AP application is denied, since some people received their combo cards even if i131 did not update.
I am hoping this is the case. I would like to hear your opinions.

I will be waiting for my card in the mail. The fact that I never received the RFE letter in mail concerns me but I got mail from Uscis before for biometrics. So they have the right address on file.
After getting the card, I should go to the SSN office to verify right ?
My question is, I am not working with a lawyer, and if the AP is denied, is there something I can do ? I heard lawyers can send an i512 to ask for a separate permit, but I am not sure.
I will also try to get ahold of USCIS to see if I can find out I will be getting a combo card or only an EAD.

Nevertheless, I am very happy. My case took longer than average, but finally a good ending ! Uscis response after the RFE was very quick, I sent a second SR last Friday only because I was eligible to, it usually says I should wait 60 days after an RFE but I did not want to wait without doing anything!

I hope everybody the best of luck. After 9 months of wait, finally I have good news !

NYCC9 for EAD
Hi Guys, I am new here. Here is a little background about my case: I got married to my USC hubby in July 2019. We prepared our GC application on our own and filed it away along with both I 765 and I 131 in November 2019. I am currently on H1b, which it will expire in April 2020. It is kind of an awkward position for me because I will not be able to work if I don't get the EAD card in time. On the other hand, it is costly to to hire an attorney to file extension to cover just a small visa gap. I have been working at this company for almost three years and have developed a large volume of clients. It will be a financial loss to my company and clients if I am not able to work. So I read your experience here (thank you thank you!!) and decided to request an expedition. Here is my experience:

2/4/20 Called 1-800-375-5283 to send an expedite request
2/12/20 Received email from USCIS requesting for evidence
2/13/20 Faxed a heartfelt explanation as my evidence
2/22/20 Received email from USCIS: New Card is being produced (only for I 765)
2/25/20 Received email from USCIS: Case is approved (for both I765 and I131)

I am now waiting for my combo card to come. Thank you guys again for sharing your experience. I hope mine will be helpful. Good luck.

EAD Expedite respond
Hi Guys,

Hope every is doing ok. I had requested USCIS to expedite my EAD and was requested to send Evidence which i did last friday. Haven't seen any changes on status so i decided to contact them, Only to be told

Unfortunately they do not have any update at this time. The Service Center, Field office or National Benefit center will contact you as soon as possible.

So i asked does that mean you dont know if they received my fax or what. She says

Once evidence is received then its updated on the system. The evidence has not been added to this case at this time, or i would have been able to provide the information. You might wanna call USCIS and request to speak to an officer for additional information.

Could anyone tell me what that means.

My EAD experience
Hello all,

Below is my experience of L2 EAD (New) at Vermont

23rd Aug'19 - Case was received
30th Jan'20 - I765 was approved
20th Feb'20 - New card was ordered
24th Feb'20 - Card was mailed

I had 2 queries:

1) Is the EAD card directly delivered to our mailbox? Or does it require a signature? I read online that they had introduced ‘signature confirmation restricted delivery’ in 2018.

I am asking because we aren’t at home this week and will be back home early Sunday morning. Therefore, what do you recommend? Should we let USPS attempt delivery or should we put the mail on hold and then collect the EAD from USPS post office on Monday once we’re back?

2) I came to US on 18th August'19. My I94 is valid till 20th May'20 (based on my old passport's validity). However, my husband's L1 petition and my visa is valid till September'21. The EAD that I have received is valid only till 20th May'20 (based on the old I-94). My passport is already renewed and I'll have a new I-94 with validity till September'21.
Considering that I got my EAD valid only for 3.5 months, what would you suggest is the best way forward for me? Should I apply for a renewal as soon as I receive my new card? Is there any other way to fasten the process so that I don't get a break in my work after May'20 (when my EAD expires) considering the approval timeline of 5-7 months at Vermont?

Thanks for the help - This forum has been quite useful in my EAD experience. Wish I had found it earlier, else I would not have made the mistake of traveling to US on my old passport.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*** Case ready to be scheduled for Interview ***

After 258 days.
No expediting, no RFE, just some unassigned Case Inquiries.
Received Date: 06/11/2019

I know this is not the EAD or a work permit, but it is finally a movement on a case that seemed dead.

Hip hip ...

EAD processing-October 2019
As an Asylee (Approved Case), I applied for my EAD in the first week of October 2019. However, I haven't heard anything yet after receiving the receipt. Anyone else has received EAD applied in the first or second week of October 2019?
