I485 Subbmitted but haven't received notification, should I file for visa Extension
Hello all,

Mi I94 permit ends on May 20 of this year, I have submitted my I485 at the beginning of this Month and haven't received any confirmation. Is my understanding as long y have confirmation of my I485 is Ip I shouldn't be concern about my permitted of stay.

However, I haven't received any confirmation yet. Should I file I539 or wait until received confirmation. Consider I have I130 Ip already.

I-130 being reviewed
Hello People,
My PD for I-485 & I-130 is September 2019, EAD got approved April 28th 2020, got combo card.
I485 AOS- Ready to be scheduled for interview on March 6th.
Two days ago I got worried cos I got two updates, the first was request for initial evidence for my i130, then shortly after they said ‘Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS’ and that nothing is outstanding at this time.
So I started to think the first update was an error, my question is does this mean my i-130 could get approved? Without interview? Seeing that I had to refile after the first case I filed in 2016 was rejected in 2019 based on abandonment cos my response to an rfe for the i130 , they claimed they never received.

US Citizen sponsoring Chinese F1 student
I'm a US citizen, filing with my wife, a Chinese citizen in the USA on a student visa.

I filed our I-130 online, and am still working on our I-485 (with related forms).

I have two worries:

The first is that we have not commingled our finances. I already owned my house and car when we met, and have had made no major purchases in the five years that we have lived together. With the I-130, I submitted some evidence of us bona fide marriage (driver license address matching for many years, passport stamp pages showing that we've been on international travel together (three times), photos of us with our respective families, 2019 joint tax filing, and a signed affidavit from a friend stating that we have a bona fide marriage, etc...). I'm crossing my fingers that this is enough, event without financial entanglement.

My second worry (about I-485, to be filed) is that my wife's certificate of birth looks so unprofessional. The local Chinese police office used a smartphone's camera to image the original document, printed that image, and put a red stamp on it. It's official and all... just it looks quite amateurish.

The new I-944 form in a nightmare. Getting a copy of a high school transcript is taking a bit of work.

2013-??-?? ......... Met each other
2015-05-?? ......... Visit family in China
2019-07-21 ......... Married in San Francisco
2020-05-05 ......... Submitted I-130 online
2020-05-06 ......... Received I-130 acceptance notice, at Potomic Service Center

I-751 application pending
I filed I-751 application to Texas from Virginia on Apr/30/2019 and received 18 months extension letter on May/10/2019. My biometrics have already been successfully completed on Nov/18/2019. Moreover, I lost my I-551 expired 2 years validity green card after my I-751 application’s biometrics were completed (same day) on Nov/18/2019 and now I have I-551 stamp in my passport from local USCIS field office through infopass appointment.

Recently, I called USCIS 2 weeks ago and I was informed that my case has gone outside normal processing time and due to this USCIS representative on telephone generated case inquiry and told me that I will receive a response in 30 days. She also told me my case is in National Benefits Centre, Lee Summit, MO.

Now don't know what happens next with my application? I mean how long further they will take to process it? Because when I check status through USCIS website it only shows “as of Nov/20/2019 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”.

In March 2020, I also filed N-400 application as my time for Naturalization was also completed and I have received letter from USCIS in mail that they have received my N-400 application and reviewing it and will also be conducting background check in order to identify any issues that needs to be addressed.

Dear All,

Can my wife translate my document and have it notarized by the notary at the UPS agency?
I called the UPS office. They said he does.
but I'm afraid if Immigration will accept this.

Notice of Intent to Deny
I really feel like giving up, my whole life has been on pause and everything i have worked for seems to be slipping away.

Here is my timeline

Married - 9/2017
PD - 10/2017
EAD - 3/2018
First Interview - 11/2018
RFE - 12/2018
Second Interview - 3/2019
Notice of Intent to Deny - 4/2020

Our first interview was very bad, our interviewer told us she has hard of hearing and she had to use a translator with sign language as we talked to her, she kept asking the same questions over and over again suggesting that her interpreter wasnt doing a good job.
Shortly after we got a RFE requesting for more evidence of Bona Fide marriage. Sent in all the documents and we were asked to come for a second interview.

Second interview, we were seperated for about 10 minutes each. The answers were relatively same with little discrepancies such as rent (My wife said about 3500, i said 3400)

Last week we got a NOID saying they visited our apartment and the leasing office confirmed that we were both on the lease but they dint recognize my wife.
I'm very lost and dont know what to do, my wife has been diagnosed with Major depression since 2018 since we had a miscarriage and this triggers it everytime because we had planned to go back to my home country once the child was born.

I'm losing my wife to depression, constantly paying high bills for the therapist and now i might also get sent away from her, leaving my job (Our only source of income). Feels like everything is against us.

Does anyone know any lawyer that could be of help?
