Did you guys file Form G-1145 with your applications? That's the only way for USCIS to know that you want to be emailed/texted. Other than that, if you already got your Notices of Action (I-797), you can just look up your case through the USCIS website.

      • If you create a MyUSCIS account online, you can enter your receipt numbers and subscribe to E-mail and SMS notifications.

Note: The Petitioner (U.S. Citizen or Resident) will only receive updates pertaining to the I-130. Updates for all other actions (including I-485, I-765, and I-131) will only be released to the Beneficiary (Alien Spouse or qualifying Alien Relative). For some reason, USCIS privacy rules prevent information regarding a Beneficiary's cases from being released to the sponsoring Petitioner. The Petitioner (U.S. Citizen or Resident) can only receive updates regarding the I-130, since the Petitioner "owns" the I-130. That said, ensure that you select a "Beneficiary" role when creating your USCIS account.

My wife's passport was stolen few days after she arrived. Couldn't even apply for SSN then so for the past 5 months, my wife doesn't have medical insurance. I also am not able to file my income tax because again she doesn't have a SSN. Now we are set to go back to Philippines for her sister's wedding next month but still waiting for EAD and AP. I need more patience. But I also need hope it will come this month..
What a TERRIBLE situation! I do want to tell you that you CAN file your taxes without her SSN. We just did it for my Husband. However, you will need a photo ID and a birth certificate and possibly some other forms of ID. We did our taxes at H&R Block with an ITIN Certified Acceptance Agent for $71. Make sure to call them and explain the situation with the passport first!

Ours was green. No idea what the color means but ours informed us that they had rejected our paperwork and referred us to the white rejection notices. It also requested that we place that green page on top of our re-submittal.

          Hope that helps!

This is why ours was rejected as well. I still feel like an idiot for not re-checking fee amounts considering our original package was filed in February...
