Plz, do not be nervous. Be proactive, organize your table of contents well and everything will be fine.

    Hey guys!

So two days ago I went for my i-485 interview with my husband (No attorney, didn't hire one), and it was surprisingly fast. We arrived there at 8.30 and was immediately brought in to meet the officer. Our appointment was at 8.45 am. We brought 3 folders (binders) worth of documents:

Folder 1: Documents (Thanks to UScitizenfilingforspouse for providing the links to the table of contents)
Folder 2: Pictures organized in this way; 1. Wedding. 2. Family. 3. Times spent together. 4. Screenshots of text messages. 5. Screenshots of phone calls.
    Folder 3: Originals

Guys, FRONT LOAD your application. That's what I did and the officer didn't even interrogate us at the interview. Heck, it felt like as though we were already pre-approved and that we went to the interview as just a formality, like part of the procedure.
So again, front-load your application and pretty much front-load at the interview too. I think as soon as the officer saw us bring in our 3 thick folders, he didn't even bother to question us anymore because he knew we came prepared and that we mean business!
Show that you have nothing to hide.

Goodluck to everyone who is still in the process and who's going for the interview. Keep the faith.
    All the best
Congratulations! You did it all yourself. You chose to be proactive and it paid off. All the best to you and your husband.

I had sticky tabs on the documents to help the officer navigate the docs easier. Also, it seems more organized.

Anyway, Got thre and had to be sworn in. We sat down and the officer asked for our IDs, went through our application forms and verified our parents' date of birth on the forms and then asked us to sign the forms. Then he asked me the YES/NO questions and i answered No to all of em'. Then he said "So I believe that initially when you first sent in your applications, which I have em' right here, seems perfect enough. You sent in pictures, affidavits, joint bank statements... your application was perfect. Is there anything else you'd like to add today?" Then my husband said "Would you like the whole folder?" and pointed to the ones we just brought in, and he said "No, I have enough right here. Just any extras or any new stuff you'd like to give me today, if there's nothing, you don't have to." Then I gave him my updated joint bank statements (3 months worth - debit and credit), advanced health care directives (health care proxy) and my affidavit of residence. That's it.
He took them and immediately said ' IM APPROVING YOU RIGHT NOW. Your card will be mailed to you in 2-3 weeks. Congrats!"

My husband and I were shocked.... he didn't ask us a single question regarding our marriage. He didn't even look or touch any of the folders we brought in. He didn't look at our photo album, nothing.
I also asked if I needed a stamp for my passport and he said no and that they don't do that anymore. Then as soon as we got out, like 15 mins later, I got a notification saying that my card is in production.
Whoohoo! Thank God! I can finally relax. All those months of waiting finally paid off, God is Great!

    Interview Notice

    Hi All,

Just got our interview notice - Oct. 11, 2018!

BUT it was originally sent to our old address. We updated in June and got the confirmation, and we subsequently received mail from USCIS at our new address confirming my COA (as sponsor) and the receipt notice for the I-131 application. For some reason it didn't go through for the interview notice?? Thankfully our interview notice was forwarded, but it does concern me that they'll try to send the GC to our old address... Planning to call tomorrow AND bring it up at the interview. Just in case

If you haven't gotten your notices already, I am crossing my fingers for you!!

    Interview scheduled!

    Hey all,

Just got the notification that our interview has been scheduled! Text and email notifications, updated on eGov, haven't checked myDHS. A few days ago I checked and noticed that we had a backdated notification of Ready To Be Scheduled from April 18.

Haven't gotten the notification in the mail yet obviously, but I'll update when we get the date!

    Marriage-based AOS, filed w/o lawyer
Received at lockbox 2/20, checks cashed 2/26

    Ready to be scheduled

    Hey all!

Quick update - I usually check both the eGov & myDHS accounts a few times a week. Yesterday I noticed that my husband's I-485 status changed from "We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case" to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" - but the notice was backdated to April 18th!!! Never got a notification and it only just popped up on the site.

Hopefully, since we've apparently been ready for months, we'll get our notice soon. I am very much hoping that we'll have the interview before the end of the year.

I will probably do an infopass soon, since his AP was approved Aug 9 but we still haven't received anything... & hopefully get some clarity on the interview...

Anyway, I hope all of you whose statuses haven't changed yet are in the same boat!

Yes, you need to do it, when you get student SSN, you should have additional line saying eligible with DS form.
Once you get green card you go to office, they will send you new card and you will no longer have that additional line under SSN number.

Yah medical does not quailify for an RFIE. RFIE is like financial/birth/missing i-94 type stuff. Fun fun fun.
