Thanks! So you are saying medical mail and RFIE are two different things? Will see soon what is missed!
-
The RFIE will be about lacking doc/s or clarification on a submitted doc. The medical courtesy letter will just arrive to you by mail, no text/email/status updates, based on my experience.Originally posted by taska View PostHello Everyone,
Got today status "Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. "
Can it be only Medical Exam that we did later and have on hand or it will have other missing docs because it says no action will be taken unless we send it?
Thanks!
Good luck and all the best!

Same issue with me, I had to an AP expedite which got through after a while to get an RFE, since my lawyer didnt send my i-94 copy with my AP application alone in May. Now have to mail that. In prior years USCIS typically caught the AP and EAD diff applications again in 2018 they all over place.Originally posted by MicaAshani View PostMy travel plans were actually in July. I cancelled them because I hadn't gotten any up date on my AP. I'm going to call just to see if they have anymore information than online. Thank you ! I hope so also. Best of luck with everything.

Guest repliedMicaAshani did not apply for both at the same time, either.Originally posted by UScitizenFilingforspouse View PostYou need to reach out to your senator. They need to know that USCIS is creating more work for themselves by only approving your EAD and not your AP at the time you requested for expedited processing.
It was the whole point of the combo card. If you think about it, these interim benefits are to blame partially for the current backlog. For every family based green card application they get, they also have to process 2 applications for interim benefits. It?s a 2 to 1 ratio. But that shows you the ineptitude of USCIS.
We do not get combo cards because we were late to the game with AP

Interview schedule
After such a long wait. My case is moving quick now. I just got txt that my application for i485 has been scheduled for an interview. My field office is San Bernardino, California
Priority date is Feb 26 2018. After my biometric appt on March 28 Ididnt hear anything back until July 27 when i received a courtesy letter for i693. On July 30 my status changed to case ready to be schedule for interview. August 7 EAD was approved and on August 15 i received the card on mail but it was not a combo card which had me kind of worried why. I called the lawyer and he said it was nothing to worry about that he had seen this before and it might be that my case was close to being scheduled for interview thats why they didn't bother to approve AP. And yes exsactly how my lawyer told me. Today i received text that my case had been scheduled for interview.Last edited by moy88; 08-17-2018, 06:57 PM.

I got a case update on Aug 6th that they have scheduled an interview. So I called USCIS hotline and asked for a level 2 officer to inquire about the date. I received the interview notice on Aug 11th.Originally posted by taska View PostWhere are you calling? Did you have any reason for expedite interview ( i heard you can do it) or they just told you "oh sure here's you interview"?
It's been 195 days, no news for EAD or green card but FINALLY was able to send SR yesterday! Hope to hear soon.

When are your travel plans? I thought for sure we'd have to expedite, I was planning on doing that approx 1.5-2 months in advance of travel. Ours was on 'case received' until we got the approval update, no intermediate steps.
We're in STL but the last time I called (about a month, month and a half ago), I was told that ours hadn't been transferred and was still hanging out at the NBC.
I hope you get yours soon!

I was looking at the processing times for my I485/I130 but the National Benefits Center isn't listed. Where are you located?

My husband and I did not apply for AP with the EAD (I know, I know, but we didn't realize we could just make up dates and we didn't have set travel plans yet). We applied for it WAY later, as in 6 months after.
Here is our timeline:
Feb 20: Packet arrived (I-130/I-485/I-765)
April 4: We have finished reviewing your biometrics and are still processing your case
May 4: EAD approved
June 26: Application for Advance Parole arrived (I-131)
Aug 9: Advance Parole approved
We have been SO lucky with EAD and AP (although we did an expedite on the EAD), but not even in the 'ready to be scheduled' phase. I am crossing my fingers that we will move to the next stage by end of September.
Slowly but surely, guys.
