Perfect! Thank you so much! Anyone can add their table of contents or anything that helps others, especially if they were misinformed and did not send much with the AOS package. This is thread is for people who might be worried about that or simply the interview was scheduled quickly and need ideas to generate evidence of bona fide marriage.

As I've said before, if you're a true marriage, that will prevail even if you don't have much evidence. The experience might be unplesant, but the worst that can happen is that they show up at your door, and if you're a true marriage, the green card will be approved at the end of home visit.

Just read your table of contents. You presented truly concrete evidence of bona fide marriage. Great job on pairing travel receipts + text messages + pictures = alibi. You got very creative. That's great. We did not use any social media, because I deactivated my accounts 3 years ago or so. Once colleagues and interns started to send me friend requests, I locked down all pictures and deactivated ********. My husband does have ********. To tell you the truth, I do not know what his status is. I have not looked at his page in a long time. It's either hidden or single. My husband is not out to anyone but his best friend, myself and my parents. We chat with my parents at least once a week. I put them on speaker phone. Point is, I am not going to re-activate my ******** account because USCIS may ask. Hell no! Or like you, your bank told you to not open any more accounts so that it would not affect the process of securing your mortage.

Congratulations! I am glad you chose to be proactive and leave nothing to chance. The Advance Health Care directive was a smart AND wise move. USCIS takes that document very seriously. I'd say it weight as much or more than a joint mortgage on the evidence of bona fide marriage scale.

Approved same day as interview

Hi everyone,

I just had my interview on 6/21 at the Chicago Field Office and got approved soon after the interview.

My PD date is 3/27. I'm adjusting from F-1 OPT to marriage-based Green Card.

The interview went really well and the officer who interviewed us also went through the same process when he got married. He told us not to be stressed. He confirmed some document including my birth certificate, my spouse's birth certificate, my passport and my visa pages and my current address. He asked the YES/NO questions in the form I-485. After that, he asked us for our supporting documents. I brought our joint checking account statements, gift receipts that we bought from each other, evidence of our M***aukee trip, phone calls history, messages (I chose messages from when we first started dating until now), letters and a handmade card that I made for my husband. The officer then asked how did we meet, what was the wedding like, who attended and if we have any plan to visit my family soon. There was a weird moment when the officer found out my spouse and I we don't live together (we're moving to NYC soon and we don't want to start a new lease and then eventually have to break it) but our phone history showed we talked every single day and we told him we come over to each other places regularly. He then informed me about how to remove the conditions on the GC and let me know that he will approve it by end of the day. The entire interview took 15 minutes.

I didn't ask for the stamp on my passport since I already got my EAD and continue working. I expedited it a month ago. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to ask any questions!

*Edit 07-11-18, just a few days ago, helpmylife informed the forum that the 10 year green card had been approved.
There is a lot to learn from helpmylife’s experience. Like I told him, it would all be fine, and it’s all fine now, but after having been in his shoes, I strongly recommend not leaving anything to chance.

8. Thread by Tezza. Approved on the spot. This case is remarkable because their interview was scheduled within 2 to 3 months. Tezza did not have a lease, and presented several notarized affidavits of residence to prove that they lived with his wife’s parents. He also presented an Advanced health care directive. I highly recommend this document. USCIS takes it very seriously. Bottom line is that they maximized the evidence they had available. They focused on evidence dating back to when they first met until the adjustment of status interview. (It’s sort of the way you would present evidence for a k-1 visa)
