    Happy for you ab_bey!
So the priority date (PD) is the mail delivered day or the day when they sent out the notice?
Thanks! L2154 The priority date mentioned on the I-797C is May 20th, the day they received the mail.

My luck that they didn't send the whole package back! I believe the delay was due to the extra payment I made.

There was another member ( Gurpreethgnis) mentioned about the similar delay in response for about 30 days from Chicago lockbox. Waiting for his update regarding the delay so that we can have a clear picture.

        Thanks
Hi Zips We have to file individually for parent's AOS. So I sent their Application packages separately on the same day, 17th May via FedEx to Chicago lockbox. One package they received on May 20th and they sent the acknowledge message to my phone on June 17th, saying they received the package on May 20th. The second package they received on May 21st and they sent the acknowledge message to my phone on June 19th, saying they received the package on May 21st. It took almost a month to get an update after sending the applications.

I don't believe the delay was due to something form related. As per expert's opinion and my own research I believe the delay happened either because I have attached an additional check with the applications or its due to some operational delay as another member also shared similar experience of no response after 30 days from filing!

The reason for the additional check is that, We don't need to pay for I-131 travel parole if we are applying for it with I-485 or after applying I-485 adjustment of status. I was unaware about that when I sent the package. What they did is they returned the checks for I-131 stating that 'Extra Remittance'.

I hope this gives a clear insight about the scenario.

        Thank you.

Ok. That's fine! So they are taking 30 days to respond at least for few of the applicants.Don't worry, you will be getting the acknowledgement message in another 10 days time!! Did you filed for your parents or for the spouse?

              Concurrent filing; I-485, I-130, I-130A, I-765, I131, I-864.

              Package Sent: Thursday May 23rd
              Package received: Friday May 24th
I797C NOA Received: Monday June 3rd
Bio-metrics Appointment Received: Friday June 7th
              RFE Received: Monday June 10th
              Bio-metrics Appointment: Friday June 21st
EAD Expedition Request Submitted: Friday June 21st (By Congressman's office)

Regarding EAD expedition, I had to wait for the Bio-metrics to be done, so re-submitted last Friday and should have a response over the coming week on that - submitted with an offer of employment. Argues loss of income due to lost job offer and also the company argued they would lose money, due to the accounts I had with my old company which would follow me, and also having to locate someone with my level of experience in the specific role required.

ab_bey Let's say it got complicated. We called USCIS on 17th June and they said that it's been more than 30 days and the package might have been lost. They asked us to refile the package. We ended up mailing the package again on 19th June and the package was delivered on 20th June. All fine until now.

The twist is we received the original package with notice of rejection on 21st June. The reason for rejection was non-availability of visa. Since visa bulletins are released for next month every 15th of the previous month. what happened is that I had priority date available in June but I submitted in May after seeing the visa bulletin in May.

So now, the refiled package is with the USCIS and the visa is available for me in June. The only thing is since we sent the package before we received the rejection for the previous package, we could not include the notice of rejection from the previous filing in the new package. Haven't heard back from USCIS yet. I hope the application gets accepted. Its been a roller coaster. Will keep you posted.

Has anyone else forgotten to include the previous notice of rejection because of non-availability of visa? Will it be ok to not have the previous notice of rejection not included in the new package?

My I-485, I-765, and I-131 was mailed last May 28, 2019. It arrived at USCIS the following day, as per mail tracker. However, we still have not received any receipt notices yet. It has been almost 3 weeks.

AOS from F1 filer here (married to USC)

                                Here's my timeline so far:

                                Filed on May 6th
                                Biometrics done on June 3rd
                                EAD expedited on June 14th
EAD in Production on July 5th
I-693 Courtesy Letter on July 8th

Now just waiting to get my EAD and then the long wait for interview begins (South FL wait times seem pretty depressing)
