    • What is the processing time now ? I feel like they just change it whenever and however they want in order to say “oh you’re still within processing time”. Ever heard of 1-3 years ? This whole thing is a joke but unfortunately our future is in their hands.

no updates yet. Biometrics done on 08/06

Same here! Day 113 and no update whatsoever.
And I also agree with you! They say they process applications in order that they were received but then why are some 2018 filers still waiting for interview while 2019 filers already have their green cards? This is very confusing and nerve-wracking!

True. Processing time don't really makes sense. It is better if we got lucky and they process our cases soon somehow.

            • Hi,
I got 2 RFIE lettres couple days ago.
              - 1st for I 485 Requesting my Affidavit of support I 864 from my sponsor. Initially i only filed I485/I130, i didn't submit I 864 since i made 60k+ a year which is far on top of the poverty limit. My wife as a student plus we have a baby, she made only 26k last year.
My question is: Now that the USCIS is requesting the I 864 affidavit of support, based on how much my wife made last year, could she sponsor me or should i need a second joint sponsor just in case?

              - 2nd USCIS asked me to submit the form I 130 A.

Since i didn't submit I693 for medical examination, i was expecting a courteousy letter requestiing it but they didn't. I hear lately that people was getting denied just for a missing I693. Should i worry to send it together with the RFIE or i should just wait and see if they request it? Because on the RFIE letters they said they were waiting for the requesting documents (I864 and I130A) to make a decision.
Yours answers will be very welcome. Thanks.

agreed. Very confusing. I’m on day 107. I don’t know how much longer I should wait before contacting senator/ congresswoman.

I was wondering the same thing. Although I think even if we do contact them, they will say to just wait

although i (beneficiary) was earning enough and was able to satisfy the condition my lawyer wanted to add a joint sponsor, technically you dont need it, all you need is attach a joint tax transcript for the last year and a cover letter explaining you earn enough to satisfy condition, also include your last 3 paystubs and employment letter. that takes care of the 864 RFE. since i was working with lawyer, i had to do what she was asking.

yes, you need to sign 130A with all your details (figuring out where i stayed for the last 5 years was a pain)

this is a RFIE, so they wont be sending courtesy letter, once everything is in order they will request 693. btw add your field office in the signature as well.

                      Best of luck.

                      • Guys! So I just called the USCIS to ask if my biometrics ever went through because the wait and no updates are driving me a little crazy. And the lady on the phone told me that yesterday 10/31/2019, they mailed me a notice but it doesn’t say what kind of notice it is. Nothing has changed on my USCIS website so I have no idea! Do you guys think it’s an RFE? Or what else could it be? What can I expect???

Hopefully you are getting the "Case ready for interview" status. Don't know if it has a notice until "interview is scheduled". Otherwise it might be an RFE. The USCIS helpdesk should be able to say what kind of notice it is. Why don't you call them again and check?

Is that so that they should tell me? The fact that she told me she can’t tell me, made me freaking out over here!

Not sure if they will help. But do call again. You might get lucky with the next help-desk person.
I don't understand why they couldn't tell you what kind of notice got issued for you.
