Oh i see, in my case was kinda weird - first i got notification that my EAD is in production, then next day that it was approved but i saw it’s common, either way you should expect ‚in production’ status in few days

We just did 3 renewals, on all 3 cases the first update said "card is being produced" then "case approved". From "produced" to "approved" it can take a few hours or up to 2 days. If your case already say "approved" then you missed the "production" update.

                • As we all expected, I got an email saying the interview has been cancelled on 03/31/2020 and the case status changed back to 'Case is Ready to be scheduled for Interview' on 04/01/2020. I am just worried that the USCIS system might take just consider the last action date 03/31/2020 when rescheduling interviews (rather than the priority date). I hope I don't end up waiting months for interview once the COVID-19 situation clears up.

Also, I requested to expedite my EAD application on 03/27/2020 and I got a notification which says:
On April 2, 2020, we approved your request for expedite processing on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number MSC YYYY YYYY XX. We are processing your case and will send you a notice of action with our final decision. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
It says approved and processing at the same time. What does this mean?

It should say "on DATE we approved your Form I-765", for us it always took DATE + 7 days. One day before delivery the status changed and we were able to see the tracking number. The tracking number said that it will be delivered in 2 days but then the next day changed to "will be delivered today".

                          • Filed for I-485,I-131. I-765 and I-130 back in October 2019. The package was originally sent to the Chicago center and received (priority date) on Oct 24, 2019. The receipt of notice came Nov 7 2019,all the notices I received came from USCIS National Benefits Center in Missouri. Completed my bio-metrics appointment on Dec 6, 2019.
I wonder what is a realistic expectation for my travel/EAD card under this current pandemic situation? Any help/information will be greatly appreciated!

After my Biometrics were reviewed & approved; it took 4.5 months for me to receive my EAD Card. So, count from when they approve your Biometrics and you will have an idea of how long the wait will be. Wishing you well

                              • I just read about a marriage- based interview being waived and GC produced because of this situation. Their FO was Pittsburgh (same as mine) and their interview was on March 20th (mine was on the 18th). I hope I have the same luck!
