Update 2: Case Status updated to show fingerprints were taken

Update: Received biometrics letter dated 12/12/20. Appointment is in Long Island City, NY on 1/6/21.

My updated timeline for adjustment of status through marriage:

08/27/20 - USCIS received I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131 (did not file I-944) at lockbox
09/15/20 - Charged my credit card for $1,760
09/20/20 - Received text confirmations for all forms
09/26/20 - Received NOA on all forms with notice date of 9/16/20
11/18/20 - Received RFE dated 11/12 for lack of i944 (no text or email notification)
11/23/20 - Mailed i944 and they acknowledged receipt on 11/27/20
12/26/20 - Received biometrics later dated 12/12/20 for appointment on 1/6/21 (no text or email notification)
1/6/21 - Biometrics Complete (Very easy, 10 minutes in and out)
1/8/21 - Case Status updated to show fingerprints were taken

It seems like it changes everyday on whether you need to file the i-944. Maybe it depends on which date the person reviewed your forms.

Also, the new administration might get rid of the i-944 before your interview so you may never need it (hopefully!).

I have a peculiar case. H1B married to Permanent Resident. USCIS received the documents on 08/24 and we were living in Atlanta at that time. We moved to Seattle in November and updated addresses online via Ar11 form. Today, (01/04) I received my biometrics appointment at Atlanta field office.

Has anyone faced this issue? How long does it take for USCIS to reschedule the appointment to another location?
