Hi All, Any Oct 2020 filers of I-485 whose USCIS service center is National Benefits Center ? and whose Field Office is Newark. NJ ? Any feedback how long is it taking to get interview notice after the biometrics is done ?

Oct 27th filed. Received biometric 3/12/21 with appointment date on 3/31/21. How long it takes to receive EAD/AP after biometric. Good luck everyone.

I have seen folks getting EAD approval in 2 weeks after BM, and others who did in Dec still waiting. So no one knows !! But 2 weeks seem to good guess

My family received notice for biometrics appointment on 16th March, however I have not received it. I waited all these days thinking I might get it. Can I travel with my family? I tried asking Emma, it said nothing scheduled for me. My EAD is expiring in April 9th and I feel like I might lose my job. Is anyone else in the same situation like me and what did you do? Thanks!

Adjustment of status EAD is always 1 year but there is a rule that if the priority date is not current then it should be for 2 years however it seems USCIS is giving 1 year to everyone. When I got the EAD my priority date was not current but it became current after 2 months so don't know what all factors USCIS applies when issuing EAD.

So once we get EAD the next wait is for Interview and GC before EAD expires, or else work to get EAD renewed then .... this is endless huh.

Yes abhi...they next wait is for interview...and then the GC...but my H1B expires in december 2022 and my EAD in feb 2022...so my lawyer suggested to continue with my H1b and hope the GC arrives before that...

Even though we continue to be on H1B, we need to make sure that the EAD is renewed promptly before it's expiration, right?
Or can we still get our GC when the FAD becomes current even with an expired EAD?

Done with Biometrics. It is pretty quick all 3 members done in15 minutes. No lines. They even allowed inside one hour early. You don't need to carry any thing except your photo id/driving license. Don't forget to fill out the application along with it. It saves the time. If any of your family member has different date please take them as well. Some times they may take their biometrics on same day.
