You can file your returns married, filing jointly or married, filing separately. I am not sure if USCIS cares whether you file jointly or separately. The important considerations are that you filed as married (and NOT single) and it shows your address is the same. People file their taxes "married filing as separately" for various tax-related reasons. In our case we filed married, filing jointly.

I am planning on doing this. My third year is coming up later this year. But my application for removal of conditional green card is still pending and it looks really slow. I will probably apply for naturalization with my conditional green card.

I sent my removal application last September but I received the finger print wavier last month. Things are moving very slowly.

That might actually speed up your I-751 process, cause they can start working on your citizenship application only, after your I751 is finished/ approved. If so,you will have only 1 interview- first approval together with your spouse and then in the second part the English and History Test part for citizenship.

Yes it is.USCIS still has alot of backlog to deal with, the waiting is nerve wrecking. I'm eligible to apply for I-751 remove conditions in May, so my waiting period starts allover again

Already starting to prepare for I-751- I have a question: we don't have shared utility bills, only tmobile where I was added to the already existing plan.We never added my name to gas, electricity etc but our joint bank accounts statements show sharing finances and joint responsibility for paying all bills Is that enough? I'm really concerned about it....

Sure. Are you going to apply for naturalization this year too (regardless of the 751 progress)?

Yes I will. How about you?

Will you hire a lawyer for the naturalization?
