      Hi Helpwith1,
Have you gotten your OL? I found from other tread that ppl start getting their OL at San Jose DO for 10/29 and 10/16.
I have no good news yet. Wonder if you got anything.

I have not yet received my OL yet, wondering whether I should do an infopass but that will take half a day of my work day :-(

Have you called Customer service? Also, do you have any update from the online status? I personally have no update online at all.

I tried calling CS but they can only tell you the status. If they tell you about the oath date, that's already been arranged. I was told my case was approved almost 2 weeks after my interview (other folks may already got the OL). However, it's not that useful since there's no OL.
However, it's worth a try especially if you need to take off from job to infopass.
My interview was a few days earlier than you and it's about a month now. I guess you may wait till next week before you try infopass. I hope there will be something good happen over the weekend.

My online status still shows that my application has been received, its useless.
I just called the USCIS hoping that I would get more status but they dont have any more information than the online status. I will try to get infopass maybe end of next week.

I became a citizen in august and my status is still showing receive and pending. I call for the heck of it and that is the same info they have.

Six week after my interview, I sent a letter requesting to be added to the next available list. But my case was a bit different ( my local office does not typically perform oath ceremonies for my area- a pronothary does it once per qtr). They responded in two weeks from mailing the letter (and i didnt do delivery confirm or priorty mail) and scheduled me at the local office for the next one. Otherwise I would be waiting still for a Oct 24th Pronothary qtrly oath in my small town.

Be proactive when it comes to USCIS. You request will trigger action on your case.

              All the best!

I just came back from infopass and no oath date still but the officer told me what happen. During the interview I mentioned about a travel plan and hoped the IO could schedule an earlier date for me. However, it turned out that they thought I am out of the country so they did not schedule me for the oath date. I really have no words for that. The officer told me to write a letter to unlock this issue. Because I have already prepared a letter with me for expediting my case. Thus, I just gave him the letter and he made a copy of it and stamped that they received it.

Regarding calling to the CS, you have to try asking them to transfer you to the 2nd level IO and told the first level CS nothing about your interview, FP and so on. Since they only got the info as you can see online, they would help you transfer. However, if you disclose too much detail info, they will just tell you to wait for 120 days. 2nd level IO can see something more, but if you want to expedite the case, you need to go to infopass.
I have called several times and check the status and mostly was able to be transfered but was turned down one time due to disclose too much.

I don't know how my letter will work. I can only give them couple days and hopefully can get some progress by next weekend. And I hope helpwithh1 you can also figure out what happened to you case. I believe most people without extra issues should get their OL in 10-14 days. Thus, any later then that, there must be a reason for it. Since you have succeeded in getting to the 2nd level IO, I think you may try it again (some people called in several times a day). Then, you can decide if you should go to infopass. FYI, San Jose DO infopass is not available on Columbus day. However, you may still be lucky to get the OL this weekend.

mariejm, thank you for sharing your experience. Though I have sent in a letter but I don't know if that goes to the decision maker. I was wondering who did you send the letter to? Was that your interview officer or the supervisor? I am thinking if I should also need to send a letter to clarify my request.

No I didn't send it to anyone specifically. I think I had a subject line and then it was generic "Dear sir/madam".

One thing i stated was the fact that if I were to wait until Oct for my local oath ceremony it would push my case outside the agency's target of 6-mos processing for naturalization cases. Just find one thing and make a case

update on my case..Received Yellow letter today asking to get my DL for the interview with no mention of interview date.

Wondering is it normal sending yellow letter to everyone? How many days after will I get my letter for interview?

It is normal, interview letter will come after- no specific timeframe as its based on vol at your local office.

                          JayKrishna,
why are they are asking you to bring Driving License (DL) for interview?, any specific reasons that you can guess ? (like; your DL was expired & you were still driving, or any accidents etc..., I haven't heard from anybody that they had to take DL for interview.

I was asked to bring my DL to the interview too. I think its very common for USCIS to ask for DL.

They ask for driver license just to make sure you're the person who you claim to be. DL serves as another form of photo ID in addition to your passport and greencard.

                                Hello Nags,

My DL records are clean. Now I am wondering should I get a report form DMV just to be sure.

Helpwithh1, what documents did you take for the interview. Can you please provide a list

                                Thanks
