why are they are asking you to bring Driving License (DL) for interview?, any specific reasons that you can guess ? (like; your DL was expired & you were still driving, or any accidents etc..., I haven't heard from anybody that they had to take DL for interview.

This proves you are a resident in the state you are claiming on your application. Another example: i moved from State A to State B, but I didnt change my license. Or I live in State A still holding State B lic. I apply for immigration benefits in State B. All these little things, plus its an additional piece of state issue identification. I was asked to show my lic at my N400 interview, even though I sent a copy with my application.

My DL records are clean. Now I am wondering should I get a report form DMV just to be sure.

Helpwithh1, what documents did you take for the interview. Can you please provide a list

I took the documents they asked in the interview letter( all the uscis notices, GC, DL).
In addition to that I took my passport, tax documents, ssn, bank statements.
and photocopy of passport and GC just in case they asked me for one.
I did not take any photographs and the lady asked me if I bought any and I said no, then she made me sign the photos that I had submitted with the application.

You will get it in the next 2 weeks i believe. If not, get an infopass to talk to an IO.

TIME goes slowly when one has to check the mail box daily expecting something from uscis. I understand your frustrations.

DL can be used to check your jurisdiction.

Wish I had a better answer but "infopass does not hurt your case", so try it :-)

helpwithh1, I finally got my OL yesterday for 11/19. Sent 10/20.
I visited infopass last time on 10/16. I don't know if that help or they just plan to put me for November.

Sapvij, I have the same doubt, I got my oath scheduled two months after the interview at San Jose, longer than any service center.

hey jaykrishna, i am in the same boat as you, i received an yellow letter today asking to bring drivers licence with no mention of interview date. did you finally get your interview date. my local office is phoenix
