I think they are processing visa for one embassy at a time. First was Hyderabad then lot moved to Chennai and then to Delhi... Is that right ?

This is not true IMHO. I have seen cases issued on the same day across consulates. Having said that, there are certain lean period which the consulates go thro' where the processing slows down. Currently Hyderabad is in that phase. Today Chennai issued 6 Visa from 221(g) list, 3 from 2012 and 2 from April '13 but the normal processing (5 week lead time ones) is a little slow since last week.

Work with on of the big IT companies
Interview date 30 april
White slip @ New Delhi
No documents asked

Case updated on 25th july for first time
The status changed again on July 29th at 10 am and then to issued at noon

Yes i did write to my senator's office but since there was no response from them, i am assuming that the office didn't do any further action

My employer tried to call DOS but it was fruitless as they got a standard reply .. It is just a wait and watch game , hopefully you should get yours issued soon , Good luck .. Its just a personal observation that once you complete 90 days lots of cases get issued so just hang in there you will get it issued soon

Good to hear that the status date changed to Issued at least for few.
Any one from Hyd consulate got their status dates changed? Mine is same since June 11th

Looks like this is going to be a big week and lot of pending cases will be cleared.

Any thoughts on how many days it takes to receive communication to collect the passport as i have not taken the mail option.

I have been waiting since 29th April and first time the status got updated on Friday as July 25th and today it changed to Issued.

Among the 15 other cases which were under 221g for my same date and there has been no update at all till date, 8 of them had a change on the update date today so they should also likely get it by tomorrow.

Looks like this is going to be a big week and lot of pending cases will be cleared.

Any thoughts on how many days it takes to receive communication to collect the passport as i have not taken the mail option.

Not to worry

Hi guys , my wife went for interview for her h4 as we got married in India in Feb. Now they have given her 221g white slip and I think we have to wait for ever now .. seems like that .. She went for h4 in Delhi and I have already my h1b stamped till 2015. By reading these forums I am so stressed out . Well it seems like it will take a while . any how I will be posting here and there .

H4 is directly dependent on H1 Visa, if you are working for a good company, she will not have any issue. Usually H4 are not very problematic (I have seen rejection for H4 too). You will eventually get it. Please tell us about your case, are you Full Time, EVR Model. I hope set gets her visa soon.

No updates on my case

Has anyone got any update on their cases?

Nope, no updates on my case since 11-JUN-2013. This is really getting frustated. They dont say anything when I call them, when I write to them. I strongly feel there should be more transparency, so that we know whats going on and how time more time it would take.
