Dropbox appointment and return travel before new petition start date
Hi,

I have my current H1B petition valid till May 7th 2023. We are planning to travel to India on Feb end as we have drop box appointment on March 3rd 2023 in Hyderabad location and stay in India for 5-6 weeks . As my petition is expiring soon, got my extension approved through premium and got it from May8th 2023 for 3 years till 2026.
Now question is will I get Visa stamped based on new petition i.e., from May 8th 2023 till 2026.
or
will I get stamped based on old petition which is till May 7th 2023.
or
from the date of drop box till 2026.

I want to travel back on April 7th.

Note: Last stamping done in 2014 ,came to US in 2015 and haven't travelled to India since then.

Thanks in Advance.

H1B visa stamping in canada
Hi - Need an urgent information.
I am in Canada right now and planning to get my H1B extension stamped (after I140 approval) . I am a resident (work permit) in Canada now. Question is,
1. Do I need to appear for an interview in Canada?
2. After stamping (be it interview or drop box), do I need to again appear for an interview in India if I go back from Canada to India before traveling to US. ? Can you please share the process for this scenario?

Need advice
Back in 2019, I was arrested for DV and then later convicted for Criminal Mischief (M3). Is it safe to travel for the H1 Visa stamping (current H1 visa getting expires on 10/10/2023) if you have a conviction on your record? The case is terminated and sealed.

Are there any chances of visa rejection in an interview?
Is it safe to travel now or should I have my visa renewed next year and then travel next year?

Is there any people under similar situation or have been gone through similar challenges, please DM me.
Kindly help me. I am planning to travel in first week of December. You can DM me and also available for a quick call.

H1B max out nearing with Perm In Process
Hi,

My GC process started with I140 approval awaited, but my max out is fast approaching. Please guide on my below queries.

1. If I move out of US for few months will that stop my visa clock.
2. Can my dependents continue to stay in US while I stay out of US till my I140 is approved (so if my visa clock stops will it benefit my dependents visa clock). As my child is a high schooler so looking for options so she can continue with her school while I travel and get my I140 settled.

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

H1b Approved, my dependents received their stamped passports , but mine yet to arrive
Hi all,

I attended my H1B visa interview on 7th Nov 2022 in Mumbai, India along with my wife & daughter and the consulate officer approved my visa. I had opted for premium delivery to my home address for the passport return. On 9th Nov my wife & daughter both received their passports in separate packages via Bluedart courier. But I am yet to get mine even on 11th Nov. I checked the status on CEAC website and for me it shows as APPROVED, whereas for my dependents it shows as ISSUED.

Has anyone faced this same issue, if yes have you received your passport yet? how long did it take?
