H1B, H4 Visa

Hello,

Today is Oct 15, 2021.

My wife (Principal Applicant) is an H-1B visa holder and her visa expires on April 30,2022. I am her husband currently applying for an H4 visa and is scheduled for interview on April 1,2022. I specified on my DS 160 that my length of stay in US is 3 years which is the validity of my wife's 2nd H1B visa. My wife said her company will apply for her 2nd/renewed H1B by November 2022 and we don't know yet when will we get the 2nd H1B visa approved.

Should we reschedule my interview on May 2022 onwards which is after the expiry of the first H1B (April 30,2022)?
Will it affect the H4 application process?
Do you think the US consulate will deny my request of H4 visa because of the expiry?
What do you think should I do?

Hello All,

I received an email today saying that my Calgary appointment in Nov 21 will be rescheduled. However, when I go to my account the date and the time are still the same. Not sure what that’s about. Suggestions?!

Anyway, I have learnt from this forum that as a Canadian PR I should have answered: “No” to “are your traveling from another country”. Apparently more dates are available. However, now can’t change that on the form. I click “reset form”, but it doesn’t work. Will it work if I cancel my appointment and then try?

I made a mistake in DS-160. Instead of a monthly salary, I added an annual salary which I found after paying the VISA fees. Is there any way I can edit and update these details?
Please help me to correct this mistake.

Today I have attended in delhi H1B.They have below questions.
1. Which company ur working for?
2. What is ur job title?
3.are u working for client or full time?
 Say full time working for a product. And he is not aware of that product.and I have shown NIE letter along with the product.then he says good.
4. Post graduation ? Which University?

5. The project has been started 2019?

 Ans: I don't have and shown NIE, offer letter iternary letter, he was reviewed, but I want to the position letter from ur employer.
8. Provided yellow slip. Submit ur position letter and not ur required to visa office u again.they don't have provided any email id in yellow slip.how I need to send those documents to us Delhi visa embassy.

really need some your inputs here.
1. We booked a visa appointment for H1b recently, and in the appointment history it shows as scheduled for H4, how can I correct it ?
2. Can we still go for interview for H1B even though appointment says H4?

Came back to India in May due to family emergency. Filled up DS 160 in May. Couldn't get a visa appointment date until September 25th.

Qualified for interview waiver. Fingerprint not required (had I known this my wife wouldn't have had to accompany me as I could have submitted documents myself)

1. (Thursday)Went to VFS OFC site. Stood in queue with my bag and mobile phones for about 5 minutes until my turn came.
2. Submitted documents for H1B and H4. (one copy of all your documents required for H1 and for one H4. I only had one copy but the OFC lady went and did another set of copies from me).
3. Submitted NIE letter. Kind lady made a copy of that too.

Next Monday- visa status changed to 'No status' , then to 'Administrative Processing' next day, and then 'Issued' the day after. Received an email from consulate saying NIE has been approved.
All NIE's are approved for multiple entry within the next 12 month period. (That 30 day entry rule has been scrapped since July). If there are no travel restrictions in place next year, your visas are valid for reentry for normal 3 year period.

I have submitted the passport in Hyderabad VAC and then got a mail from them below:
Kindly send us scanned copies of the current employer verification and end client letters.
Please suggest me for the below requests:
1. I am in India, I will start working for the Employer as a full time when I arrive in USA.
2. I will work for my employer and not in Client place.so not sure what kind of client letter I should submit.

Can you please share any template & share your experience?

I have attended for H1b along with family in Mumbai on July 6th and got 221g asking for NIE. I have again applied for New Delhi on Sep 17th this time alone and got my visa approved and stamped. Could anyone kindly help how to proceed for my dependent visa? Should I apply fresh or should I send my approval email from Delhi to Mumbai to process their visa as their cases are already with Mumbai on 221g and I did not withdraw them yet. Just thinking will it be a risk if I send my my approval email to Mumbai consulate?

Any suggestion on this is much appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

My wife attended her H4 visa interview on September 13th, 2021. She carried my new company approved I797 petition along with my visa stamp which is still valid for another two years but it has my old employer name. She got 221g informing her additional review regarding my employment is required. Today she got the email saying that my I797 petition submitted is revoked during her interview time. I moved to new company in April and I got the I797 transfer approval notice in May. My wife submitted the same approved I797 petition at the time of interview.
When I checked in uscis with my new I797 receipt number I see it changed from Approved to "correspondence was received and uscis is reviewing it after approval". This is very surprising to me because I already got my approval package but then it changed to above status. Did anyone experienced this situation ? Also currently I'm in India for my wedding(came in August), will it impact my return to US ?
Any replies are greatly appreciated.
