I am seeing a lot of 221g cases on this form esp. from Hyderabad. Is this become a trend in Hyd consulate. Or is it because only people getting 221g's are posting here?
Wondering approximately how many h1b visa interviews happen per day(which is probably not possible to say) and how many of them are getting 221g!!

H1B Extension Mumbai First Dropbox experience
Mumbai H1B Visa Extension Dropbox Experience
History: H1B Extension – This was the first Dropbox Experience. Third stamping with same Employer, same Job Duties and Title, location, Just change in Salary, last stamping was in Dec 2016 with same Employer. I had valid stamp till end of Sep 2017, still went for Dropbox.
Documents submitted at Mumbai Post: One most recent color photograph, old and new passports, I-797 (Most recent) approval Notice, DS-160 Confirmation Letter and Appointment letter. Photograph was taken from CVS – white background, No spectacles, eyes and Nose clearly visible with neutral face view (i.e. must follow specifications per website).
Dropped Documents on 21 August 2017 at around 10 AM. CEAC Status : No Status. Passport status: Dropped off, passport is being delivered to the Post.
22 Aug 2017 – CEAC Status: Application Received, Passport status: With Embassy/ Consulate.
23 Aug 2017 – CEAC Status: Application Received, at night: changed to Administrative Processing, Passport status: With Embassy/ Consulate.
24 Aug 2017 – CEAC Status: Administrative Processing till 11 AM or so, changed to Issued in the afternoon, Passport status: With Embassy/ Post (In evening changed to Passport received from consular section and is being processed for Delivery).
25 Aug 2017 was a Holiday, Received Passport on Saturday 26 Aug 2017 – Location Pune, Used Cash on Delivery (INR 500), Got an email after 2/3 days for receipt of payment (BlueDart).
The Old stamp (visa stamp valid till end of Sep 2017) was hand marked (crossed in red) as CWOP (Cancelled without prejudice) and new stamp had annotation with old and new valid petition Case IDs with same Employer name.
At Port of Entry (First Pre-Clearance experience):
Was asked to show I-797A and Passport.
Then asked what are you carrying in Luggage - Any Wet food Items, Agriculture, Hazardous materials, anything to declare?, Any electronic equipment besides Laptop and Mobile phones?
Questions asked were:
-Purpose of your visit?,
-Which company and worksite location,
-Full Address where you stay,
-travelling with family?,
-Did you go to school in states?,
-Is it first H1 or extension?,
-Where are you coming from?,
-How long you been to states?,
-Do you have family in US?.

Sharing my experience of H1B visa interview which happened on 1st Sep at Delhi Consulate.
On Visa Interview
VO : Hi, How are you doing today?
Me : Greeted the VO
VO : So you work for this YYYY company ?
Me : I said yes
VO : Do you work at your employer location or at Client location
Me : Answered that i work on Client location
VO : Give me your I-797 & Client letter
Me : passed my documents
VO : I need some admin processing on your application and returned all the documents which he took and returned my passport back with 221g White slip with check mark on the required documents. He asked me to send the checked required documents in PDF format to email provided.
I already send all the documents which VO asked to the email provided.
Does anyone experienced the same scenario earlier or now ?

Bio-metric done on 30th, went pretty cool, hardly 5 mins. Successfully done.
Next day, Visa interview

Currently with H4 - I94 living in US, H1 approved
Hi members,
I'm in USA for 4 months with H4 visa.
Now my H1 petition got approved and is effective from october 2017.
My question is
"Do i need to go back to india immediately and get stamping for H1 visa"?
or
"Start the job and stay back in US" and get stamping whenever i travel to india.?
Anyone gone through same situation? please reply.

I have attended OFC on 21st August, 2017 and Visa Interview on 22nd August, 2017 in Chennai.
Here are the list of Visa Interview questions faced at consulate.
VO: Good Morning Sir !
Me: Very Good Morning Sir !
VO: Please pass your passport.
Me: Handed over.
VO: Who is your petitioner company ?
Me: Answered.
VO: How long have you been working for this company ?
Me: N years.
VO: Who is your client ?
Me: Answered.
VO: So this is a blablabla company ????
Me: (I didn't understand it) Sorry Sir. Could you please repeat the question ?
VO: Repeated the question.
Me: Yes Sir.
VO: Are you going alone ? Are there any dependents ?
Me: Yes Sir I am going alone. No dependents .

After that he checked my student record and then he said like your university didn't closed your account.. he gave a slip to me 221g blue .. he took my passport and he said that your visa is approved but we need addditional info .
Any body in same boat .. where to check the case status and when should I check .. just now I finished my interview .

Day 1 - Biometrics day
I took all the documents related to H1B and H4 Visa
PAI Letter, DS-160 , Original I-797 ,
Validated by executives for above documents and sealed foe next day visa interview
Took photo snapshot for visa and asked refer notice board for more information
Day 2 – Visa interview day
Entrance security check with all related documents
Again with biometrics scanning
Security asked go to counter
I was completely sweat due to weather of Chennai , waiting for my turn in counter
Lady was interviewed before me and just feeling the heat.
After lady , Vo officier called me and looked @ me
Vo : Passport please
Me: handed over my passport
Vo : IS it your first time
Me: Nodded with Yes
Vo : Which company you work for ?
Me : Replied with smile YYYY X company name
Vo : Who is your client?
Me : YYYY XX.IXX
Vo : Who is your client?
