H1 to H4 ( Visa Stamping at HYD )
Hi,

My wife went to H4 stamping yesterday( aug 5th ) at Hyderabad and it was successful. She used to work earlier in US and changed her status to H4.

The visa officer did not ask many questions. She was asked:
1. Is your child a US citizen. She said YES. My wife my kid to the interview as well 2 yrs old.
2. How long you have been married?
3. What is your husbands employer name?
4. How much salary?

She said visa approved.

Just wanted to share my experience.
Thank you.

Query on H1B
My H1B got processed this year through my current company(MNC) .

In 2005 itself my H1B got processed through small company and i got a query when i attend the H1B interview and after that i didn't re attend to submit the queried documents and just ignored . I guess/think it's not comes under a rejection.

But in the current year while filling the DS160 do we need to mention my 2005 H1B details or not?
How many years they maintain the old data.?
My old one will impact to my new one?

Please somebody reply about my queries because i have to fill my DS160 ASAP.

H1B & H4 experience at HYD consulate
I had a successful H1B & H4 experience at Hyderabad consulate. I was asked only 2 questions.

Day 1 - OFC - Aug 1, 2014
It's a simple process and nothing to worry about here. Carry appointment confirmation, DS160 confirmation and passport only as other documents are not required. Purpose of this is to take finger prints and photos. No interviews on this day. Entire process took approximately 20 mins. Need not go before 30 mins from the appointment as you will not be allowed inside and end up waiting outside.

Day 2 - Consulate office. Aug 4, 2014
appointment was at 11:30. Reached the place by 11:00. A person outside the gate verified the passport and allowed inside the gate by 11:30. There were many people attending the interviews, so there a long wait. Got the token and went in. Do not carry mobiles or sealed envelopes as they are not allowed. There were many people inside too.
By the time my token was displayed it was 1:30. Went and joined the line. VO officer was lady. Person in front me appeared for B1 visa. Unfortunately his was denied.

ME: Hi Madam, good afternoon.
VO: Good afternoon, how are you guys doing.

VO: passports please

VO: When you were married
ME: Answered

VO: Which company do you work for?
ME: answered
VO: It's a good company

VO: That's it you are good to go
ME: I thanked the officer and left.

The interview hardly lasted 2-3 minutes. No questions about the client and no supporting documents were requested. My guess is the company reputation did it! Of course, being confident and not nervous helps.

Thanks to immihelp and users, it really helped me in my preparation.
