Hi All,
Below is the situation I am in.
I would really appreciate if suggestions.
Approved I797 from Employer A : Feb 2020
Transfer approved to Employer B on Nov 20th 2019: Tentative joining Date Jan 6 2020.
Stamped Visa Expired in : March 2019
Current Dropbox timeline : March 2020
I have a planned India vacation between Dec 10th to 30th.
Q : Can I use H1 Transfer's I797 for Dropbox stamping.
Q : Will there be any issues in this scenario where I am yet to join a Company but have Approved I797.
Any suggestions ?

Regarding H1B stamping
Me and my wife both on H1B and working for different employers.Going to attend H1B stamping interview in India and have booked same time slot for both of us using two different profiles.Question is , can we attend H1B interview together as a family as it is at same time or should we go to two separate windows(we have an infant kid who is US born)?
Also want to know Pros and Cons of attending together versus separately. Please provide suggestions if anyone has similar experience.

VO asked all the basic questions and answered but when she asked about my clients I was little bit confused.
VO kept my passport and said your visa will be kept on hold and gave me A4 size while slip.
Status shows that AP on the 20th itself.
I completed PhD and working in environmental based company.
Please let me know if any one has same experience and how long does it take what is mean by visa hold?

H1B Dropbox Experience 2019- Mumbai Consulate
I submitted my documents in Pune by dropbox for Mumbai Consulate on 13th November 2019. As I have experience of being in administrative processing during my 1st H1B stamping, I know it could be frustrating. Hence, please see below for my timeline.
13th Nov- Dropped of documents in Pune
14th Nov- Status changed to 'Application Received'
15th Nov-18th Nov- No status change
19th Nov- Status changed to Administrative Processing
20th November- Status changed to 'Issued'
I collected my passport on 21st November.
According to new rules applied from 1st September, US consulates suggests that it takes about 5-10 business days to get the passport in dropbox procedure. Please be patient and all the best to everyone.

No white slip but AP at Hyderabad
This website helped me a lot. So below is my experience at Hyderabad Consulate
Nov 18th Biometrics
Nov 19th Interview
VO asked basic questions like designation, location of employer, highest degree and was I intern before current full-time job.
VO told me that my visa will need little Adminstrative Processing and gave me 'know your rights' pamphlet. She did not give me any white slip.
Statuses on ceac website:
Nov 18th case created
Nov 19th AP
Nov 21st AP
Nov 22nd Issued and can take up to 10 days to get Passport
Next day after the interview I logged into f1 SEVP student portal to check my record. I saw that there was a stop date (10/1/2019) added to my OPT stem extension record. Earlier only initial opt was stop dated (9/30/2019) which included cap-gap extension. We can see this in History tab.
I think because I was intern for 6 months VO wanted to make sure I did not break any f1 visa rule.
Visa journey: H4 > f1 via change of status > direct h1b stamping

Help.. H1B renewal/Drobox/Delhi/ Administrative Processing
I submitted my H1B renewal through drop box on Nov 8th. My status changed to Admin processing on Nov 18th but no update since then. I haven't received a request for any additional documents or an interview. Anyone else in a similar situation? I emailed the consulate to inquire and was informed that my application was refused under 221g and needs further administrative processing. any advice or thoughts from someone in a similar situation would be extremely helpful.
