CPT-H1B 221(g) blue slip-refusal for administrative processing
Hi Everyone,
My friend completed his masters and he is working on CPT with second masters. this Oct he got H1 approved under future employment. he was working for client A during the petition was filed but now he changed to client B, before the interview he filed for ammendment and got the receipt. anyhow since he has to go through the consulate process he went for stamping with pending ammendment receipt and new client letter.
VO gave blue slip stating - refusal for administrative processing. and said he doesnt have to attend the interview again and no documents asked to submit.
Please help..does it mean a complete rejection?? or what are the chances. Kindly help with ur response.

H-1B approved, wife's H4 in administrative processing
I was in F1 opt and I got H1b approval.
Scheduled appointment on Sept 6
got married on Nov 1,
got marriage certificate on Nov 4
Fingerprint Nov 5,
interview Nov 7 along with wife
VO asked basic questions about company, salary and wedding.
Because of SEVIS mistake, she said she can not approve right now but visa will be
Approved after 2 weeks.
Visa status changed to Administrative processing for me and wife
Nov 15 changed to issued for me.
But for my wife it is still Administrative Processing.
Anyone facing the same thing or faced before?
How much time it took for you if you have faced before?
How mych time have you been waiting for if you're facing the same thing?

First of all i would like to thank this forum to prepare me for the H1-B interview.So below was my experience.I went with my dependents (wife and 6 year old kid)
21st November - Fingerprints at VAC at 2.30 P.M- Pretty normal.
22nd November - Interview at Chennai Consulate at 10.30 AM.Reached around 9.45 and got into 10.30 Queue outside Consulate.Since we were having kid along with us, we were given preference and by passed all the long Queue and got inside the consulate.
Interview :-
ME:- Good Morning mam.
VO:- Good Morning,Can i have your passport ?
VO:- Is any Third Party involved here ?
ME:- No
VO ( to my wife) :- Are you also working ?
My Wife:- Yes mam.
VO(to my wife) :- Please Explain your profile.
My Wife :- Explained.
VO (to ME) :- Can i have your I797 and Client letter ?
ME:- Given.
VO ( to my wife) :- So you have only one kid ?
My Wife :- Yes.
VO to ME:- So how long you have been working with your current employer ?
ME:- Answered.
VO to ME:- And how long with your client ?
ME:- Answered.
VO to ME:- What you will be doing at Client's place?
ME:- Explained my Job Duties.
VO to ME:- Which place you will be going in US ?
ME:- Answered.
VO to ME:- What will be your salary ?
ME:- Answered.
Then finally the Golden words came, Your Visa is Approved and here is Know your Rights Template.
Tips:- As everyone said, you need to be Confident in your posture and the way you speak.
Look into their eyes and speak.
Don't answer in the way as it looks that you have mugged up.

11/7 to 11/24 - Administrative Processing
11/9, 11/10, 11/16, 11//17, 11/23 & 11/24 - weekends
11/11 to 11/12 - holidays
11/25 - Evening Issued(11th business day from 11/7)
I am waiting for the passport status to be updated for ready to pickup.
Plan your vacation in such a way to have at least 10 to 15 business days to clear Administrative Processing. Be Patient. Don't lose hope.

I was on my F-1 and got H1B this year, my interview was straight forward some basic question on my education and employment and at the end she gave 221g white slip. Just mentioned AP and nothing much just about 8 lines of info along with contact details.VO Just said you got 221g and your application has to go through AP and she said thank you

The interview was straight forward. Job title, responsibilities, location, education background.
VO told me they are going to put my visa under AP and not to worry about it.
No Documents asked.

AP create date: Nov 18th
Nov 22: last updated
Nov 23: issued
Nov 25: ready for pick.
It looks like, they are doing the SEVIS check to see if there is any visa fraud during your previous VISA.
If you are transferring from F1->H1 expect AP but "Don't worry about it".
AP seems to be a common thing now. (Based on my online research)

221g blue slip required documents
I had received 221g blue slip from Chennai consulate in August, they asked me to mail end client letter. I was waiting for new SOW so i have not submitted documents yet. My client will not provide client letter as their company policy doesn't permit to but he is ready to give mail confirmation about not giving client letter. My ques here is ?
1.can i submit SOW( in which my position is mentioned in that) and mail confirmation from client?
2.what all should be included in that mail confirmation like my job description, project details or just an confirmation is fine as all the details are mentioned in SOW??
3.what would be the timeline when only end client letter is asked??
Anybody has gone through similar situation please help me out. thanks in advance
