Passport renewal at DC
All documents submitted to CKGS on 31-Dec-2019. Passport is pending with the D.C. embassy since then. I was hoping it would take only a couple of weeks because I have to travel out of the country for work next month. But no updates so far. I didn't expect the embassy to be this slow. Any idea what is going on?

I was fretting over not having submitted marriage registration proof or spouse's passport copy (because it was not mentioned in the list of documents).
I must say, I am impressed. (And thank God, because I have out of country travel plans mid March)

Question on passport Renewal at DC embassy. I sent my passport on Dec 31 2018 at DC embassy and so far I have not heard anything. It is really discouraging to hear same thing from CKGS that there are delays.

Passport Renewal at Houston
I sent mine in on Jan 23. it is at the consulate now. Let's track our cases. Please reply below with your submission date and current status. Thanks!
I want to add my spouse's name to my passport and the checklist did not ask for any proof. Later once the passport was with the consulate, CKGS folks contacted me for marriage license copy and spouse passport copy. So bizarre!

Renewal at DC Consulate
My passport is sent to Consulate on Dec 31, 2018. Its still under process at Embassy. I contacted CKGS they said there are delays at DC Consulate and cannot give a timeline or expedite the process.

Delay - Passport Renewal - Chicago
My passport was received at the Chicago consulate on the 2nd Jan 2019. No response yet. Showing as Processing at Consulate on the CK tracker. This was a plain renewal with no changes.
Meanwhile my friend sent his passport to New York. Passport received on the 4th of Jan at the consulate and he received it back on the 11th in his hand. This included addition of spouse's name and change of address in India.
I am begining to think it is plain luck... The 15 working days timeframe they tell you about means nothing...
Anybody waiting for passport from Chicago? I will keep this group updated on progress in my case...
