LIB - APPROVED - 23rdNov09
Hi All,

Thanks everyone for their inputs which really helped me to get through.
I have few pointers to share too
1) Please ensure to fill your forms 156 & 157 properly with correct location information
2) Please note that you can not work at client location on this Visa; you can visit client if need arises.
3) Be confident when appearing against the VO
4) Be extra thorough with your speciliazed knowledge as I had 3 ppl in front of me & everyone's Visa got rejected because they werent confident & impressive enough to explain about their specialized knowledge.
5) If Visa get rejected in front of you; please be calm (though difficult); as this does NOT mean yours will be rejected too(as seen in my case)
6) Get one mock done before the final

My questions

1) What is your client name
2) How long you have been with the client
3) How will you will utilizing your specialized knowledge in US.

VO got convinced & issued the Visa.

All the best to everyone!

L1B- Pink slip
Hello all,

This forum helps me alot in knowing the L1B FAQs. I had my interview on November 18 2009 at 9 AM at Chennai consulate.

My questions:
VO: who is your client?
Me: YYYY XX
VO: How long with your company?
Me: XX Years YYYY months
V0: what are you going do there?
Me: I told YYYY YYYY

Ask me put my right middle finger and right thumb for scanning, then she issues me a pink slip saying need additinal information, go to other counter.(Extra counters are there A to F)

I went to that other counter, one more lady asked is it you first job?(actually this is first job).. Asked me write my specialization in course of study in DS 157 (In my both PG and UG are computer scinece, I wrote it on DS 157.

She told me they will get back me in 4-12 weeks.

My passport is with them, now i am dilemma whether my visa will approve or Reject.

Please suggest me in this regard

Hello all,

I had my L1B visa interview on 13th Friday 2009 & 8.15 A.M.I had gone along with my spouse and kid.so we were given first priority.I was wearing my company id on that day.

VO:Do you work for this company?
me:yes
VO: What client u work for ?
me: I work for my company's senior management.
VO: How long you have been with the present company?
me : X years and Y months
VO : How long is ur project and what project it is ?
me : I told X years and told name of the project.

Finally golden words came from VO that your visa is approved.

Points to be considered while attending interview.Dress well and answer to the point, don't answer extra unless asked.

L1B Blanket & L2 approved!!!
Hi all,

Lots of thanks to all of them who had posted ur experinces on this site so far. Ur experiences fetched me a lot.

I had my PA on Nov 16th @ the Chennai consulate at 9.45AM. We reached the consulate by around 9.05AM where we joined a BIG queue. Entered the Embassy after the security check by around 9.35AM. Got our documents verified with the Finger prints and proceeded to the adjacent building for the interview.

Our VO was a stout fair lady @ Counter No.3 The questions were as follows:

Greeted the VO with a smile and she too wished us in return.

VO: Since how long have you been married?
Me: Answered

VO: How did u get to know each other?
Me: Answered

VO: How many people attended your wedding?
Me: Gave some number.

VO: Show me ur wedding photographs.
Me: Handed over the small album which had 10 wedding ceremonial fotos and 10 reception fotos. The VO looked at a couple of the snaps with a broad smile.

VO: Who are your clients?
Me: Answered.

VO: What do u do for ur clients?
Me: Answered in a couple of lines.

The VO then asked me to place my thumb for the Finger prints and then asked my Spouse's left Index finger to be placed for impression.

She was keying in few things on her system. May be there was some problem with the system and things were not getting updated. The VO walked away from the counter for nearly 3-4 mins to get the things right. Tension was rising like anything. She came back and signed on our forms and gave back two copies with a golden message syaing "Please give a copy of this to your company and another at the US port of entry. Your Visa is issued. The passport will be couriered within a week's time."!!!

By 10.45 we were out of the consulate.

Regards,
Raj
