I had my visa interview today at chennai.Now there is no waiting outside the consulate. They ask us to come inside when we should our appointment letter.
The conversation between me and VO:
VO: GA.how are you?
me:Fien and how are you(no response)
VO: What is your skillset?
me:I work in YYYY propritery tool called YYYY ...
VO: But working in the tool does not make you a specialist?
me:My specilaisation is designing framework using this tool?
VO:(Looking at my wife) keep your fingers for scanning. now press
VO: (looking at me)What kind of framework?
me: YYYY X
VO: how many are experienced in the kind of framework you work on in your company?
ME: 6 or 7
VO: OK.I appove your visa requesta nd you can get the visa in a weeks time

When there is a sub question based on the answer we give, be confident and answer clearly.That creates a goos imperssion with the VO.

Hi All,
It depends on the Visa Officer who takes your interview, one may stop you to ask numerous questions and one may ask two-three only!
So speak clearly, and be confident during whole Interview. Be specific and answer only what is asked. Pay attention and breath normally to avoid anexiety.

Exp Matters much ?
Hi all,
My total exp is only 22 months.I am with the same company for 22 months and more than 18 months with current client. Will this less experience matters much? I am pretty confident about my specialization. Please suggest me if any special preparation is needed.

Hi all,
This site provide me the valuable input for the visa interview.
Yesterday (30th of June 2009) I had my Visa Interview. I have been interviewed by Male officer.
He asked me only three Question.
1. How Long you are in ABC Company
2. What you do in ABC Company
3. What you will do in XYZ Company
After answering all the above question, consulate officer told me that your visa is approved.
Please be confident and tell him loudly, clear and confident.

My employer has initiated my L1Blanket and I should be getting my appointment date in the next 20 days.
Have 2 concerns:
1) I am an MBA in Systems and Marketing and have been in IT as a Business Analyst for the last 4 years. How are the experiences of business analysts in the interviews since they do not possess any specialised technical skill set and their work is mainly around requirements gathering, testing and translation requirements to technical specifications. Kindly let me know your experiences.
1) My husband is on an H1 in US for the last 6 years now and has filed for his Green card. Will I be treated as a potential immigrant and will this give rise to any problems in the L1B stamping process?
