Oath Ceremony Done - Detroit
My oath was rescheduled from 23rd March to 10th June.
Schedule was 10am. They let me in when I arrived at 9.20am - in the Parking Garage.
Green Card and Letter taken through the partly opened car window, Naturalization certificate handed over to me through 1" opening of window and then Oath by a lady while I was on my driving seat.
The whole drive through experience was very smooth and the total time spent on USCIS Property was about 4 minutes.
Very quick, efficient and friendly.
All Done!!!!

US passport processing time in Covid times (June 2020)
Has anyone applied or plan to apply US passport recently (After Feb 2020) or plan to soon since few just had their Oath ceremonies scheduled after June 4th?

The passport update site says expedite option is no longer available after March 19th, and regular processing may take several months (usually 8 weeks).
Lastly, the emergency option (72 hours) is available for life/death situations accordingly.

I need to travel asap (but not an emergency), and wanted to see if anyone got their passports (new) after Feb, and how long did it take.

3 years or 5 years?
Hi, I became a permanent resident holder 7/22/17 When I obtained my green card I was married to a US Citizen. (we had been married for about 8 years) We got divorced about a year after I got my green card, and I remarried shortly after that. (to another US Citizen)

My question is, can I apply for citizenship after 3 years? or do I have to wait 4 (after which I will have been married to the same US Citizen for 3 years)

Thank you!!!

Hi ,

Did anyone get their citizenship interview letter yet?

Or are they doing the oath ceremony for pre covid candidates, and once that is completed, they will be conducting the N400 naturalization interview? Please advise
