N400 Biometrics Notice Online?
N400 sent on 08/10. Check cashed. Got the NOA. USCIS status shows Biometrics notice sent on 08/17. Haven't rcvd it yet. Online USCIS a/c shows appt on 09/06. I'll wait a bit more and inquire if I have to print out the online appt notice for FP or I should be receiving the FP notice in mail...

Anyone know what's the procedure after the online a/c started?

N400 experience (Atlanta field office)
N-400 Received by USCIS: 03/24/2016
Biometrics Notice Date: 04/02/2016
Biometrics Appointment: 04/19/2016
Interview Notice Date: 07/01/2016
Interview Date: 08/08/2016
Oath Ceremony Date: 08/17/2016

For interview schedule, I was concerned that there might be huge delay with this because the USCIS website said Atlanta field office is experiencing delays. However, I got the notice for my interview in less than 3 months since the biometrics date.

On my interview day at the Atlanta field office, I arrived there 30 mins early because I read that the interview is first come first serve (not sure if this is accurate). Going through the security check, checking in and waiting for the interview took about 1 hour. The interview itself only took about 10 mins. As soon as I entered the room, I swore that I will not lie during the interview. Right after that, she asked me to sit and then started the civic test. I passed the test in like 2 minutes and then she moved on to verifying information in my N-400 form. I had a speeding ticket and didn't hide it from them. She didn't seem to care about the ticket since the fine was less than $500. After the interview was over, she said she will recommend me for approval and told me the oath ceremony will be a week after. She told me to go to the 2nd floor(interview was in 3rd floor) and wait to receive my oath letter.

It took them about 40 mins to have my oath schedule letter ready. Before I went for my interview, I read that Atlanta field office offers same day oath ceremony if I live 2 hours away from the USCIS office. That did not happen for me. I over heard an officer telling someone else that they have to live 4 hours away in order to be offered same day oath ceremony.

On the day of my oath ceremony, I had to wait in the 2nd floor until the time specified in my oath letter. While I was waiting, few USCIS officers checked my oath letter and the questionnaires behind the oath letter. It basically asks if any you did something wrong or leave the country after the interview. The lady next to me got a speeding ticket that week and told the officer about it. The officer asked if the speeding fine was paid and the lady said no. The officer then asked how much the fine was and she said she doesn't know because she got caught recently and she couldn't view the amount in the system yet (takes about a week for the amount to show up online). The officer said she can't do the oath ceremony on that day and told her that she needs to reschedule it.

Before my oath ceremony began, they explained about how to register for vote because the big election is coming soon. The oath ceremony took about 30 mins with 130 people in the room. The letter said ceremony is at 8:00am but they had to check everyone's oath letter and collect permanent resident cards which took about an hour. The whole process was very smooth and well organized. Everyone had assigned seating and the naturalization certificate was handed out in the same order as the seating. I was really surprised that everything was so well organized.

And still no interview appointment scheduled. I had an appointment with the InfoPass on Friday 08-12-16, regarding some question I had and was told that the wait for an US Citizenship naturalization test interview for Dallas TX was about 12-14 months. Has any one applied for a US Citizenship from Dallas,TX and if so can you please provide what has been your wait?

Thank you

ANY IDEAS
05/16/15 got my notice of action letter
06/16/15 got my schedule for fingerprint, i did my finger print.
since then status says in line for interview, for about a year now in saint Louis Missouri.
meanwhile i tried to change my name in my application, cause my name was incorrectly spelled on my green card, for more than 10 yrs now. i got some arrest but no conviction.
now i am on the process of renewing my green card since that is also expired due to the long wait.
if any one is having similar, or had similar experience let me know, as this can be particularly challenging.
i have scheduled multiple info pass, called to speak to the second tire officers, unfortunately they end up saying that my application is still at in the service center. i will try the ombudsman see if that can help, thanks for sharing.
