Green Card expired but applied
Hello everyone, my green card expired last year and because of money situation I wasn't able to renew and / or apply for citizenship.. Today I submitted my citizenship because I have saved up and wanted to vote this year. I've been in the US for 10 years. Do you guys think I will get approved or they will get back to me and tell me to renew my GC first ?

Biometrics Question
Hi,

Could someone let me know if they have had a similar experience and what happened? I went for my Biometrics today, and I forgot to state my former name on the Applicant Information Sheet that they gave me to fill out before doing the Biometrics. When I returned home, I realized the omission as I was putting away the documents (they returned the Information Sheet to me after the Biometrics).

I then went back to the ASC and the lady at the reception took a good look at the NOA for the Biometrics, which they had stamped and signed, and then said:"There is nothing to worry about. You are fine. All is well. Have a good day."

Should I worry? The Biometrics are for Naturalization.

Otherwise the Biometrics went very well, and the person who did it was very nice.

Thank you.

Seems Chicago center is not willing to process
Atlanta is processing fast, New jersy is processing fast but chicago seems to be a laggard. May be they are on a different agenda :)

4/25/16 application sent
4/28/16 scheduled for biometric appointment finished
5/18 biometric appointment finished

No progress from there on ..

Worried about the processing time?
Hi everyone!
So I was a green card residence since I was about 4 years old but moved to the US when I was about barely 1. Once I turned 18 in April, I was finally allowed to file for citizenship!

04/21/16: The department received my form.

05/23/16: Biometrics were scheduled.

06/03/16: Biometrics Appointment completed.

I'm still waiting for my interview to be scheduled... I'm a tad worried because I haven't received anything yet. I'm going to be moving out of state for college, too, in a few weeks. Do you think that any changes in my residency will delay the process?

(Plus, I reality want to vote for this presidential election... Legally I'm not a citizen, but at heart, I know I'm an American who genuinely cherishes this country)

7/8/2016 : Case status changed : on July 8, 2016, we scheduled you for a biometrics appointment.
