I751/ N400 Interview Atlanta Field Office
Hello All,

So today is my turn to give an update on both of my cases, I751 and N400

We had an interview on 08/18/2021 at the Atlanta field office, and it was really smooth and easy. We have waited 2 hours passed the original interview time, was at 9:55 AM and we were called in around 12:00 pm

The officer was professional and efficient, yet very nice and pleasant, she said she has to go through the I751 first to see if it is approvable, and then we will be able to go through the N400 interview.
I gave her a big file with old and updated evidences, that she did appreciate, saying some folks just come to the interview with minimum to no evidences an expect that they will be approved!

We were asked few questions about our marriage (nothing really tricky or out of the norm) then she said she is approving our I751 and excused my husband so I can be tested and interviewed fo the N400

we started with the civic questions:
1-what is economic system in the US?
2-what is the current president political party?
3-what is one power of the federal government?
4-What Ocean on the west coast?
5-When do we celebrate Independence Day?
6-What are the major political parties in the US?

I was asked to read "who is Abraham Lincoln?" and write " Lincoln was the president during the civil war"
She asked a lot of the yes and No questions, signed 3 documents on the tablet and that was it.
She gave me the form N652 and marked that I passed the test and a decision can't be made yet.
She explained that she has to first approve my I751 in the system and she will do it by the end of the day, and the next day only the system will accept the N400 approval. so I was kind of disappointed that I didn't get a solid approval on the spot, but guess what the very next day I got all the updates one after another that I 751 is approved
N400 is approved and placed inline for oath
Oath Ceremony notice was mailed, so I checked online and I am scheduled fo the oath Ceremony on 09/10

Feedback from my experience:

I would recommend filing N400 while I751 is still pending
I did case enquiry about my I751 and requested a call back from a tier 2 officer and I strongly believe that this what it triggered I751 interview scheduling on the same day of my N400 interview (N400 interview was scheduled first and was worried that they will not conduct both together, thus my N400 can not be approved)
I must say I am grateful for the quick N400 process didn't expect it that fast:
Filed online 04/26/2021
Interview scheduled 07/13/2021
interview date 08/18/2021
Oath 09/10/2021
Thank you all for the experiences shared it made the waiting less painful.
Please feel free to ask any questions.

Good Luck to everybody

August 6, 2021 Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.
August 16, 2021 Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed

Interview:
Entered the building 15 minutes before appointment time.
Wait time: 20-30 minutes

Officer explained the process.
Civics questions:
1. What is meant by Freedom of Religion?
2. Capitol of U.S.A
3. Name one war fought in 1900
4.Total number of US Senators

Don't remember the other 2, but simple questions from those 100.

English:
Read - Where does the president live?
Write: The president lives in the white house.

Followed through with Yes/No questions.

Citations: I did not include traffic citations during my application because i was not sure if i should. But when that question popped up, I mentioned that I had a couple of speeding tickets. Interview Officer made a note of approximate timeline during which i got the tickets.

Moving along...
Asked me a couple of questions...
1. How did you meet your wife? (Explained)
2. Why did you marry her? (Because we love each other and want to start a family)
3, Who lives in your house? (Me, wife, baby)
Was actually surprised by these questions.....during N400...!!!

He entered some info into his computer and mentioned that he is recommending my case for approval. He then explained about Oath Ceremony and potential timeline.

While printing some papers to be signed by me, he asked me if it is ok to ask a question not related to interview. "Whats up with Indian names? They are very interesting. What is the meaning of your child's middle name?" :) I explained and he was very intrigued and I also taught him how to pronounce Indian Names :D without messing them up or embarrassing the folks waiting out there for interview by mispronouncing their names.
Papers printed. Signed. Handed one to me. and Bye Bye.

The only thing surprised me was those questions related to my relationship and marriage. I wasn't expecting them so I was a little startled. Other than that, It was very simple. It was very jovial.

Good luck to you all.

My interview experience
Oh God! What a beautiful day! I even don't know where do I start lol

I was scheduled for my interview at 830, so came in at 815, at 825 was called by the officer, the officer was extremely nice, asked me 6 questions, then asked me to read "where is the white house" and to write the white house is in Washington DC. Then went over my n400, at 835 he told me congratulations, please wait in the waiting room, at 9 exactly my name was called by another officer who was holding my naturalization certificate in his hand, so he took me into a room and read the oath, I repeated after him the full oath, then he gave me my certificate, said congratulations and took me outside, I left the building at 9 10, then I ran to DMV and upgraded my real ID driver's license to enhanced driver's license for US citizens only (I maid an appointment for it online a week ago) then I ran to the passport agency and apply for a first time passport, it will be ready in 15 minutes, (made an appointment by phone by waiting over 3 hours on the line 2 weeks ago)

So this is pretty much it

Guys! I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that all of you will get your certificates soon! I wish luck to each of you! Please text me at any time if you have any questions, I'm always here to help as much as I can!!!

Did not receive naturalization certificate after receiving passport
Hi all, I applied for my first passport ~2.5 months ago and I received my passport ~3 weeks ago. Unexpectedly, my naturalization certificate has not arrived yet and I am starting to become nervous. Is it expected to have such delays between receiving passport and naturalization certificate?

Is there anyway to do a follow-up on the status of its shipment? Is it possibly lost?

N-400 Application Times in Los Angeles, CA
I became a Green Card holder (work-based) in August of 2014. I applied for citizenship on 9/2/2020. On 3/3/2021, I received notice that they were able to reuse my biometrics and my interview was scheduled for 4/16/2021.
I arrived at the building about 35 minutes before my appointment. I went through the security screenings (had to even take off my shoes), made my way to my floor. There was a guard stationed at the entrance of my room who asked me what time my appointment was. I was there 15 minutes before my appointment, which is exactly how early USCIS guidelines say you can arrive (due to the pandemic). They told me to proceed to window #1. The clerk then asked me for my notification letter (which they kept), asked me to get my forehead scanned (temp check), and asked me to sit down and wait to be called. The waiting room chairs were all spaced 6-feet apart, but there were only maybe 5 seats left. I waited over an hour to be called.
The first thing we did after they called me, was to go to a room and have a photo taken for your certificate. Then they made photocopies of my Passport, Green Card, and Driver's License. After passing the test/interview, they hand-delivered me the Oath Ceremony Notice with the questionnaire that needs to be filled out on the day of the ceremony with a black-ink pen. My Oath Ceremony was scheduled for the following Tuesday, 4/20/2021.

I want to thank immihelp.com and its community. For years I have visited your website to read your articles and the experience from other users to help guide me in this long journey. So glad it's finally over.

The only thing left for me is to apply for my first US Passport. Appointments are scarce right now, so takes some patience. Good luck on your journey!
