How to get H1b stamping appointment in Calgary
Hello, can anyone please give a tip on how to get h1b stamping appointment scheduled in Calgary? I have been unable to schedule an appointment for over 2 weeks. It seems only Toronto consulate have availability and I don't wish to go to Toronto as I live in Calgary. I appreciate any assistance.

Did anyone recently travelled to US via Michigan port of entry, I have few questions?
1. As land border is only open for essential travel, Is H1-B considered essential if you need to enter via land border?
2. What are the requirements at the Michigan port of entry for COVID/H1-B? Which border port did you use to enter Michigan?
3. Any experience/tips will be appreciated.

Received Reschedule Mail from Calgary US Consulate but Appointment unchanged on the portal
I am from Toronto and have a regular L1 appointment scheduled in Calgary for second week of September. I just received a mail from the consulate that the appointment will be rescheduled because of unforeseen circumstances. However, I haven't received the new appointment date, nor has the appointment date/time changed on the portal.
On calling up the consulate, I am told that they have received a mail to cancel all appointments for the month of September. I saw a similar case on this forum for Calgary couple of weeks back, and the person's interview happened as scheduled despite the reschedule mails.
Any one else facing this?

Vancouver honoring regular appointments for H1B?
I have a regular appointment in October for H1B, I am already in Canada on a WP. Does anyone know if vancouver is honoring those appointments or are they still canceling? Are appointments canceled for Sep/Aug?

Pay fraud prevention and detection fee at the time of their visa interview
Hi people - I have a quick question about the 500 fraud prevention fee payment for L visa. Do you guys know if I can pay the fee at the consulate using credit card? Or should I take a money order, or checks, or cash with me on the day? I have been trying to look for information about the payment methods online, but I couldn't find it. If anyone has experience, can you please let me know?

Sending documents to USCIS Toronto Consulate
Hi,
I (and my family) are eligible for sending documents for H1-B stamping to USCIS in Canada. But the instructions are not very clear. I have a few questions -
1. I live in Mississauga, Ontario – which is considered a part of GTA (Greater Toronto Area) - so can I send documents to Toronto Consulate or do I have to send to Ottawa address?
2. I have not received hard copy of my I-797; So can send my documents for Visa stamping without the hard copy? I can send printout of the email which my petitioner received from the USCIS.
3. Should I send pre-paid return envelopes along with my documents or they are not needed? Will USCIS take care of returning the documents to the delivery location?

14 day quarantine before interview?
Hello folks, I’m a PR working in US. I’m considering going to Canada for H1B consular interview. Does anyone know if the consulates require applicants to stay inside Canada within 14 days before the interview? I wanna know if it’s ok that I go to Canada from US and attend the interview immediately (for example in 3 days). Btw I’m fully vaccinated. Thanks!
