H1B stamping appointments in Toronto
I am looking for an appointment in Toronto. Currently, it shows that no appointment is available in the right panel before I pay the visa fees.
I want to know if that availability information is accurate or will it show something else after you pay the fees.

Has anyone recently taken an appointment at Toronto consulate? How does the availability look like?

March 2, 2020 Vancouver consulate H1b stamping

Some details on Vancouver consulate which I wish I know before hand:
1) Backpack: I took my backpack with phone. A rude lady gatekeeper said there is no place for bag pack. I asked Starbucks but they said they will not keep the bag and suggested Quiznos (across the consulate). Quiznos took $20 cash and kept the bag.
2) File folders: I took a lot of files but was not sure if they will allow any carry bag . I kept all my files in plastic shopping bag and it was allowed. I even saw someone carry a cloth shopping bag.
The only thing the security asked is anything sealed. I told my employer tax docs are sealed & they opened the envelope to check.
3) Consulate change: Initially I started my DS 160 with Calgary (did not submit) and then booked appt for Vancouver. When I submitted the ds 160 (after booking the appt), the system asked where you want to submit , so I selected Vancouver. I emailed Vancouver consulate that I have Calgary ds 160 but appt is in Vancouver. Consulate replied "You may use the DS-160 that lists Calgary as the location. We should be able to transfer your case once you arrive for your appointment".
At the embassy when I told the lady at entry - she said there is no issue and mine shows as Vancouver.
4) I am PR who lives in usa. I was not able to find any appt when I selected ‘Yes’ to the question “Are you applying from outside Canada”
I called the 7032494643 visa call center and clearly explained that I am PR who lives in USA so the agent said I can still book the appointment as "No" and I was able to find a lot of convenient options.
5) Courier: I made the mistake of paying $20 for courier. Once I paid, system did not let me change the option to pickup. I should have just picked up from post office. Probably wasted 1-2 days because of courier.
6) Dress: I dressed professionally but in Vancouver consulate the way the office layout is, the VO will never see your pants/shoes so no need to wear uncomfortable shoes/heels. In New Delhi, the VO sees you approaching from the front so you need to dress up but in Vancouver you turn to the left/right for the VO window so you lower body is not visible to the VO.
