Immigrant Visa Fees
$1 = Rs. 57: Effective until January, 2013

In addition to the fees for filing a petition (usually paid by the petitioner), all immigrant visa (IV) applicants must pay an application fee, surcharge, issuance fee etc., as applicable.

For petitions filed in the U.S., National Visa Center (NVC) normally collects these fees. If you are applying for a diversity visa (DV) or if your petition was filed overseas (such as the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi), you must pay the fees at the time of your interview.

For all the fees already paid, you must bring copies of the receipts to your interview. You must pay any remaining fees at the time of your interview. You never have to pay the same fee twice.
