Counselor Requested for all documents from my packet and sent it for verification to a team seated behind them. Asked me and my spouse to wait.
Called back after 1 hour around 1:00 PM (last batch about to end) and gave blue slip for 221 (G) and said we need to do some processing from our side and returned the passport.
09/11: No updates from client side and also in the consulate status page.

2nd time H1B renewal. Went from F1 to H1, renewed H1 once, now second renewal after 6 years.
Employed at same company since 2014.
Never had an issue with previous stampings or petitions either.

Extremely basic questions - where do you work, what does the company do, how much salary, where is your office, how long have you worked at company etc. Within two minutes I was told "I'm going to go ahead and approve your extension, you'll receive your passport in 2-3 days". Did not even ask to see I797 or any document.
Got mail on Sep 10 that passport is ready for pick up. When I pick up, there's a green slip and my previous H1 stamp is cancelled.
In the green slip, they asked to submit petitions for change of employer from Company A to Company B to Company C.And it says submit this slip along with your passport. No email address given to submit documents, and no other details requested about employer.
Submitted docs with passport on Sep 12.

During Interview CO just asked me basic question and after that he handover me form 221g with two document checked. Submitted Client letter, Itinerary and tax document. Received another email in a week to submit LCA document submitted after that just waiting for no status update.

Attended the H4 interview along with my husband. Did not ask any questions to me. Approved his H1B and my H4. He received his passport in 3 days. My application status says admin processing. I call the Non-immigrant Visa helpline in the USA. She told my visa is pending under 221G and there is no other update that she can provide. Anyone aware what could have gone wrong here.

Hi,
I got 221g blue slip,
Client got verification email on 27 Aug and reply on the same date.
After that i got email to submit the passport on 7 sep.
Its been 21 day My case was updated twice one on 21 sep and another one on 25 sep.
I have my trip plan on 9th oct I am not sure Where can i get my passport back.
My 9 month son is us citizen and He has only 60 days e visa which is expired soon.
Please share your experience if anyone have the same situation.
