June 11, 2018: Had my interview.
Background: I have been working and living at the client location for around 1 and a half years.
I was given a white sheet with few documents ticked to be submitted over email-I129, Client Letter, Vendor contracts, RFE File.
June 15, 2018: I submitted the documents and didn't receive acknowledgment.
June 18, 2018: I received an email from Consulate stating that they are not able to open the Drive. I compressed all the docs and resubmitted.
June 21, 2018: Received an acknowledgment after I followed up with Consulate.
July 6, 2018: Received email from consulate to submit my passport. Status is the same. Hope it's a good sign.
July 9, 2018: Submitted Passport at New Delhi VAC. Let's hope for the best!
July 13, 2018: Status Updated- Administrative Processing
July 16, 2018: Status Updated- Issued. Finally!!!
July 18, 2018: Collected my passport. (y)

For document submission, don't wait in any line, go straight in and collect ticketno. Ticketno is different for dropbox vs interview.
Email usvisadocs for response if needed. They responded and changed visa status.
Don't panic if you see Administrative Processing. Most cases 1-2 days after visa is issued.

June 28 2018: Biometric interview
June 29 2018: Interview completed (Pretty basic on salary, education & city of stay, client letter which i don't had (my client won't provide letter) & SOW - which i have provided).Then VO asked me to wait for approximately 2 hour. post that upon calling my name went again to the same window.
VO handed over my SOW, passport, along with blue slip with a tickmark to "your application is refused for administrative processing. The application will be reconsidered when the administrative processing is complete".
30 June 2018: Client legal team received email over confirmation of the employment
2 July 2018: client replied back
3 July 2018 : Email from chennai consulate to submit passport
9 July 2018 : Submitted Passports via employer
10 July 2018 : status changed to Issued. Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted

I have been working in US for last 12 years but unfortunately I am still on H1B. I visited India multiple times in past, but this time I got 221g. VO asked me for Client Letter which I did not carried (my bad :( ) . Got 221g Letter to submit only client letter.
I submitted docs on 21st of April,, but I did not received any email back. Can you guys suggest me what dates currently they are processing?

Hey Guys,
i am sailing in this dreaded 221g boat and i see no hope. this is what happened. any suggestions or tips for me, please let me know. as of now my mind has stopped working.
1. H1B extension drop box date - 12th feb 2018
2. got my passport back with a white slip to appear for interview - 16th feb
3. interview date - 20th feb
the VO asked a bunch of general questions like who is your employer, how long have you been with them, what is your role and then said everything looks good but handed me with a white slip and requested a bunch of documents to be emailed at HLPROCESSING (lca, company's last 2 years tax returns, I797 and client letter) when i told her my client does not give out letter she said submit the contract between your vendor and client
4. collected all the documents and submitted - 20th feb
5. received email saying need client letter from ustraveldocs - 18th Apr
6. submitted client docs (org chart) - 23rd Apr
no response since then, been waiting hopelessly
