I was eligible for the Dropbox program but got called in for interview and fingerprints and my case has been in administrative processing since.
Dec 15th 2017 - Submitted documents via Dropbox program in Mumbai.
Dec 22th - Got a call from consulate call center asking me to come in for fingerprints and interview.
Dec 26th - Went in for interview and fingerprints. Got asked standard questions like designation, job profile, salary, highest qualification etc. Then I was given a Green slip form with a case number and was told that my VISA would require further administrative processing
I've been checking my case online and the latest update was on the Dec 26th and it still says administrative processing. Its Feb 6st but there is no update yet .
I have realized that email address of my Employer has been given so I sent an email but there has not been any update in the support ticket . Neither my E,V and C received any call nor any email .
With whom to followup ?

I attended the consulate interview on 19th Jan 2018.
My L1 Visa was rejected on Nov 13th 2017, and then my attorney applied for Individual and got it approved from USCIS.
VO put me on Administrative processing, but kept mine and family's passports with him.
He said the Embassy would contact you further.
Until last week, when i checked for status, it showed Administrative processing, but since yesterday, i.e. 5 Feb 2018, i get no updates while i track the case status.
Anyone facing a similar issue here ?

After the interview, I was informed that there is some additional processing required at their end but I should get my passport within a week - 1.5 weeks. At the time I didn't know what "Additional processing" meant. I wasn't handed any 221g slip.
I had a return flight to SF on Feb 3rd. When I didn't receive any update till Jan 31st, I contacted them (email and phone calls), and I was told it's under additional processing and I should wait.
On Feb 1st I received a reply to me email from the consulate that "My application has been refused under 221g...."
Basically it'll take time with no tentative date. They haven't requested any docs from me either.
I don't understand why tis process is such a black box. If they could tell me it'll take 3 months, then I can at least sublease my apartment in SF for which i'm paying a shit ton of money.

Dropbox submitted on Dec 26. Received passport with Blue slip (221g) asking to attend an interview on Jan 3. Attended interview on Jan 4. The interview lasted 2 minutes. Which company, what salary, what does the company do. Took resume and gave blue slip for further admin processing. No documents asked. I work as an FTE directly for the company.

Issued - Feb 2
Picked up the passport from VFS, Nungambakkam on the same evening. Visa received with "Security Clearance Received on Jan 26" written on it.
19 business days from Interview date to "Issued". No questions asked at POE. Good luck to everyone waiting.

I have a USA PhD degree and its my 1st H1B visa stamping. One of the "OVER QUALIFIED" Visa Officer at US Embassy, New Delhi asked me only 2 questions about my job profile and education and send me to another window where a desi lady issued me 221 g white slip and told it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get approval. Documents that were asked to email are "Resume", "Research", Employer Letter", "Previous 15 years travel" etc.
No update yet. Already more than 5 weeks. I really do not understand that my case was approved by USCIS just couple of months before (Oct 2017) now that dumb-ass visa officer in Dec 2017 challenging the decision of USCIS. And I am paying the price of being on unpaid leave since last 5 weeks.
Jan 30: Status date changed with same Status AP.
Jan 31: No update. Still AP with status date Jan 30.
Feb 2: Visa Issued.

Was given a yellow slip at the time of the interview.No documents were requested at the time of the interview. The Visa Officer said, " it shouldn't be a problem" and if I don't hear back in 1-1.5 weeks, reach out to the customer care number. Reached out to the customer care number at 1.5-week mark, got a standard reply that it is under administrative processing.
Has anyone experienced the same? Is there a way to reach out to the consular officer himself since he instructed me to reach out in 1.5 weeks and I haven't heard back in 2 weeks. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Interview Date: 29-DEC-2017 - H1B and H4 together Interview. Only couple of questions: where is the company located? Marriage date? Any kids? then, hand over 221(g) and informed as soon as you submit the documents, we will process your case. Also, told to my wife- you will get VISA once your husband receive it. So, submit the passport along with him after we send further confirmation.
