I am working in pharmaceutical company (drug safety) as a full time employee. My husband and I had interview on 03Jan 2018. The vo officer approved my husband’s and handovered a white slip with case number on it and also my passport. I received an email the same day requesting to submit resume, invitation letter, education documents, past and current research papers, supplementary documents etc.... I have submitted the documents on 04 Jan 2018. Wine. My case last updated date is 03Jan 2018, since then no update. I am worried about the timeline and my job. Fingers crossed. Does any one know in how many days the visa will be approved for these type of cases?

Visa officer asked me usual questions. She had some wrong info on my travel. Don,t know from where. No follow ups on my job, employer or my work. They sent me to window with an Indian lady who politely informed me that my visa needs further processing but they will keep the passport. No updates since then.their estimate of 3-4 weeks has already crossed 4-5 weeks, talk of efficiency!!! CEAC website is an overkill as it really does not track anything. Status never updates until 2 days prior to visa being issued.
01/25/2018. Status is still AP. Around 2:30pm IST.
01/29/2018. Status is still AP. Around 4:45pm IST
1/30/2018. Status changed to Issued. Around 4pm IST.
On 31st Jan, waited for passport status to change to “passport received from consulate and is being processed for delivery”. Went to VFS at 3pm to see if I can pick up sooner. They obliged & gave me the passport at 3:25pm. went to airport at 6pm, flew at 9pm.
Never ever get h1b stamping scheduled in December/January.

Status at passport tracker (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp#options) changed from No Status to Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery, on 01/31/17 at noon IST.
I didn't wait for their e-mail, and reached at the passport collection center at 3 p.m. Their staff member told me that I can collect my passport between 3.30 and 4. So, I did. I am all set to go back home now.

27th December --> Submitted passport at New Delhi dropbox

2nd Jan --> Went to embassy for inteview, everything went well and in the end the visa officer told me to they need more information to complete my application and sent me to window 20. Went to window 20 , where an Indian lady handed out a new 221g white slip asking to submit resume, detailed work and research experience , 15 year travel history.
4th Jan --> Submitted documents via email
29th Jan --> Case update around 1PM IST
30th Jan --> Issued around 4pm IST
31st Jan --> US travel docs website showing passport received from embassy , processing for delivery 12PM IST
31st Jan --> Passport ready for pickup around 3PM IST

Got call from HYD consulate to attend interview on 12th December.
