Drop box used with my husband on 30th Nov. My husband got H1 on 4th Dec. but I got a letter to appear for interview.
Appeared for interview on 14th Dec. and given a yellow slip to submit all documents.( Petty theft which was dismissed in 2013, submitted all court and police documents)
Submitted documents on 14th Dec itself at VAC center as officer was not ready to look at them at the time of interview.

I have submitted my passport for Dropbox service on Nov 21st. Case was created on Nov 22nd. On November 28th, the case went into administrative process. I got my passport on Sunday Dec 3 and found 221g white slip with interview request. I went to the embassy on 4th Dec for interview. The VO asked me about my job description. Didn't fully understood it. VO gave back my passport and instructed me to go to another window. The lady on this window gave me white slip and asked me submit CV, job duties, previous jobs and duties, past travel details, current Itinerary, past research and any future research plant etc. I submitted the documents to the email provided on very next day on 5th Dec. Waiting since then.
Update: Case updated on Jan 3rd
Case updated again on Jan 4th
No movement after Jan 4

221g has been issued as there is a mismatch in end date mentioned in the consulate system and the end date mentioned in the approval notice
Consulate system end date of my petetion- oct 2018
Approval notice end date : may 2020
the person who does the initial screening before meeting the VO told about this mismatch of date and asked me to inform the VO.
when i informed the VO she asked for the copy of my approval notice and asked my client name and location then told that the visa is approved however she had to fix the date mismatch issue before approving, I has been 4 days no update.
Please clarify if anyone had this issue and any idea when will my petion be approved.
note : they have retained my passport.

My husband had his F2 visa interview on 18/12/2017 at US Embassy in Jeddah. He was handed with pink slip and they retained his passport but returned all the documents. It's almost been a week and no update the website still shows Administrative Processing. Anyone with similar situation? Any idea how long will it take for him to get his passport back? What are the chances of his visa getting approved as they retained his passport? My F1 visa will expire in July 2018 but my I-20 is valid till December 2019. Anyone's help would be much appreciated.
