GC in hand - Houston
I've been reading and posting on and off and received a lot of help on this forum. I hope to help you guys with my timeline.

PD: Sept 2016
Initial Interview: Nov 2017 (cancelled)
Interview Date: December 2017

Went in 30 minutes earlier to interview location, checked in and did not even wait 10 minutes before being called in (I was surprised because I thought the wait would be long). We took an oath and then she asked for both of our drivers licenses and I think she looked if our address was the same. Then she asked me for my medical. She opened it right there and started marking it. She also asked me for my passport, work permit and SSN. I made small talk and complimented her office while she was reviewing this.

She asked my wife(USC): Husband full name, when/where I was born, current and previous address, date of marriage, how long have you lived at this current address and how long you have lived at your previous address, do you have any children, have you applied for someone else before

She asked me: Wife's full name, her birthdate, ALL my previous addresses (had about 4), do i work, yes/no questions, have you been married before, do you have any children, then asked if we have photos.

She then asked us about our future plans and I mentioned I will be moving soon due to work and she said please let us know about the new address but she kinda hinted she will make a decision soon. She handed us a white paper that says to give them 120 days to review. I was not disappointed because I thought the interview went well and I think we were out in about 20 minutes.

About 7 days later after the interview (weekend included), approval noticed was received, it was dated for the interview date. This mean she approved us that day. Nine days after the interview (weekend included), the GC was in the mail. Please feel free to ask questions, I hope this helps! God bless you all.

National benefits center applicant
I’ve been reading all the experiences and I rarely found anyone similar to mine.. I came on a K1 fiancé visa and got married in the US and applied for work permit(i765) advance parole (i131) and green card (i485) all in August 15 2017 I do not have a priority date and my case was received at the national benefits center 135 days ago. I did my biometrics couple weeks after the case was received and since then I haven’t got any news.
Is there anyone who had their case received at the NBC?
Thank you in advance and Goodluck for all.

Second interview - Long Island field office
Adjustment of status through marriage
spouse is USC

Filed - June 2016
Interview - May 2017

So after waiting for 6 months from First Interview, I got a reply for a service request stating that
'Once a date is available, you will be scheduled for a second interview at the long island field office for a second interview for I-485'

So my questions to all who went through this is

1 - All second interview will be a separated interview (stroke interview) ?

2- Are we going to see the same officer who did the first interview?

3 - Do we need a lawyer at this stage ?

Guys please reply if anyone went through this before or going to....... Thank you

Maintain lawful status for F2A?
Hi everyone,

I'm in F2A category. My spouse is the LPR. I have a question about maintaining the lawful status. Some people and lawyer told me I have to maintain the lawful status until the interview, other told me as long as I can file for the AOS and then I'm good.

I filed my AOS by the Date of Filing notice that we can use.

Here is my timeline:
I130 PD: 03/15/2016
I130 approved: 07/28/2017
AOS I485, I130, I131: 10/15/2017
Biometrics done: 11/13/2017
I locate in San Antonio.

I will be out of current status in March 2018. Do you think I'm good and just need to wait for the interview? Any one in the same situation could share more with me? I'm waiting for the EAD too but have not seen anything. Really appreciate your sharing!!!
