RFE (initial evidence) - I-864 required
Hi good people! I appreciate this forum and find it very useful. We have following case at this point.

Me (immigrant) and my wife (USC/sponsor) are applying for my status adjustment (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765). We filled everything correctly but didn't include Affidavit of Support (as that is what directions said - because I am on H1B currently and working).

However, today we got RFE (initial request for evidence - yellow paper) in mail saying this:

...
"Submit a completed and signed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form I-130 or Form I-129F. Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the petitioner/sponsor must submit Form I-864. (The Form I-134 is not acceptable to use for Adjustment of Status). Also, provide copies of the petitioner/sponsor's most recent Federal income tax returns and all supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules).

If you have submitted Form I-864, the version you submitted is no longer accepted. You must submit Form I-864 with a revision date of 07/02/2015. All pages of Form I-864 must be present and of the same revision date.

If the applicant qualifies for one of the exemptions on Form I-864W, please submit a completed and signed Form I-864W."

My questions:

1. We plan to live with my wife (sponsor) parents and sister for some time (thats my address). They are all employed, but what should my wife (sponsor) take as number of persons in household when looking at the poverty rate guideline here: https://aspe.hhs.gov/2015-poverty-guidelines ?

2. Even in worst case scenario - when we take poverty guideline for 5 persons, my wife (sponsor) makes more (gross) per year than 125% of the PL. Does she need joint sponsor on her I-864?

3. We are in Washington state, which doesn't have federal income tax. For the past 2 years my wife worked in Washington state. They are asking for Federal income tax returns - what should we do?

4. Would it be supportive if I make a copy of my current work contract (under H1B) as additional document as proof that we can support our living at this point? Any other documents important at this step - savings accounts, etc...?

5. Do you have any other advices for us?! Please!

Timeline for I485 through marriage Los Angeles Office
Finally received my physical green card on my hand and the whole process took exactly 5months .
Did everything myself without engaging any lawyers . Guess Los Angeles office process is pretty fast and smooth.
Interview is really easy , I would not see it as an interview as nothing much asked , lasted just less then 10 minutes.
It's more like verifying documents and to see you physically exist in real as a person.

My timeline for reference for those of you who are still in the process

my USCIS timeline

4/23/16 sent all the forms package to Chicago Lockbox (I130, hh,I765,I864, I693 etc ) via USPS express mail .

i864 affidavitt for support
Hello All,

I would like to share my experience and also request your candid advice on my current issue .
My pd August 8, got notifications and mails in two weeks after and Just of recent i received a letter(request for initial evidence) stating the my joint sponsor income does not meet the requirement . My joint sponsor made 48k(Single) last year but the adjusted income stated 10k on the tax transcript for 2015. My wife income for last yr was 12,000.

Late last month she got promoted and her annual income got increased $27,500 . Can i send the letter of her promotion(stating her current annual income-$27,500) to the USCIS office or should i get a new sponsor ?

Your candid advice will be greatly appreciated

Thank you
