I485 Interview | No response | NYC
Hi

I had my I485 interview on 09/26 and it went well. Officer said that my medical is expired and he will send a RFE. I have not received anything yet and the case status also says the my interview is completed and my case must be received. I130 was approved on the same date

Anyone else in the same boat and how long does it take to get the RFE after the I485 interview? It's almost 2 months for me.

Hey Guys,

USCIS misspelled my middle name on my Biometrics Notice. Please someone should advise me on what to do. Will I be able to correct it at the Application Support Center during my biometrics?

Comment Please
Hello Family,

I need your comment on this please. I contacted USCIS via phone call on the 11/08/19 regarding my GC interview which I had on the 10/28/19 and I haven't hear from them after issuing me white paper that my case must be review and today I got a letter on my mail box with a response saying:

Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

The application to register permanent residence or adjust status; form I-485 is pending review. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your application. We will forward this inquiry to the appropriate party for consideration.

What you can do
Please see the "online service " below to check the status of your case in the future. We apologize for the delay.
We hope this information is helpful to you.

New policy for “CPR” !!
USCIS today issued policy guidance explaining how USCIS applies Matter of Stockwell and clarifying when USCIS may adjust the status of an alien whose Conditional Permanent Resident (CPR) status has been terminated. An immigration judge does not need to affirm the termination of CPR status before the alien can file a new adjustment of status application.

An alien with CPR status obtains lawful permanent resident status either based on marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (if the marriage is less than two years at the time the alien adjusts status or is admitted for lawful permanent resident status) or based on an immigrant investor (EB-5) visa.

An alien with CPR status is generally ineligible to adjust their status on a new basis under the provisions of section 245(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. However, USCIS may adjust an alien’s status if their CPR status has been terminated and:

The alien has a new basis for adjustment of status;
The alien is otherwise eligible to adjust status; and
USCIS has jurisdiction over the adjustment of status application.
Time spent in the prior CPR status does not count toward the residency requirements for naturalization.

This guidance applies to adjustment of status applications filed with USCIS on or after Nov. 21, 2019.

Can anyone with advanced experience explain what’s good & bad on this new policy??

Thanks
