Crossing from Tijuana
Hello everyone this is my first time posting. My case status changed to Document Was Mailed To Me on 2-7. I'm waiting for my documents in the mail. I'm hoping to fly my dad who applied for AP for to Tijuana as soon as I get my documents. My questions is, how long you were there for? And, did you cross by car or foot?

If anyone could reply I would really appreciate it!!!

AP
Hello I just want to encourage everyone to go ahead and make your trips ASAP, at least that's what my lawyer said to me. Everything went great as I crossed the border in Tijuana. The girls who took my fingerprints were super nice, we were chatting about food and restaurants the entire time. The process was quick although it was a Saturday night.

Case rerouted to my local office...
Hello everyone.
I sent my AP request in January and upon checking the status, it showed received in the beginning of January, I also received the confirmation letter with my receipt number in the mail. All that was about two weeks ago.
So I decided to check the status today and it now says "Case Was Received At My Local Office" this past week. I am a bit nervous now...Has anyone else encountered this?

DACA and AOS In Process; AP Question
Are there any DACA recipients out there who are in the process of AOS? My question is if it is ok to travel outside the U.S. with AP while waiting for AOS to be approved.

I am not sure if I should apply for AP under DACA (humanitarian/education/work reasons) or under AOS (marriage-based). I have an EAD via DACA, and recently received an EAD via AOS as well. I did not apply for the EAD/AP combo via AOS, but am thinking of applying for AP now. I had i-94 record prior to applying to AOS.

Please advise, thanks!

I'm back- traveling experience!
Hi guys!!
So, I'm BACK! My trip was amazing! If you aren't familiar with my story I traveled for to 2 weeks back to my country of origin, Ecuador. My travel dates we're 01/28/2017-02/12/17, to get to the point I flew in last night from Quito airport to Miami international and once I landed we were instructed to go down through immigration, i traveled with my younger brother who is an American citizen. We both stood together and got on the line for visitors once there we got called next & I handed the gentleman my passport and copies of my advance parole. He didn't ask any questions he was a bit stand off but not rude. He took my fingerprints and picture and then told me to wait on the side, he flicked a yellow light in his station & I waited for about 15-20min. Then, an officer came and took me and my brother to another room, honestly it wasn't intimating. Once we were in the room we sat down and I didn't have my parole papers or my passport the guy kept it and gave it to the officer who took us to the room, we waited for about 45min sitting down we weren't asked any questions they were playing Spanish music and joking around so there was no tension in the air lol. The officer called my name and was really friendly, handed me my copy of the parole paper and he kept one and also handed me a small card that said I been paroled for today's date 02-12-17 told me to go get my back and check it in for my connecting flight to JFK. I'm so happy, so realived. Can't be more thankful with God, not only did I have an amazing 2 week vacation but I got to enjoy time with my grandparents & now I have an open window to adjust my status. Thank you guys, honestly if it wasn't for your stories & support this trip wouldn't have been as easy to swallow. So thank you guys & don't lose hope we are the future and we are STRONG!
