Timeline?
Dear All,

My fiance applied for Advance Parole back in October through his lawyer. We got a notice a few weeks ago saying it had been received on January 3rd. So we've basically been waiting 90 days. Since it was officially received on January 3rd, do we have to wait ANOTHER 90 days?

Anxious, Nervous And Very Impatient :(
I just found a new article stating that even though Trump will allow existing work permits to expire, AP will no longer be a possibility for DACA recipients, I feel so sad:( Just thinking about how close I am to being approved and that I might not get to travel before he signs that executive order, It's so unfair that we have to go through this :'(

Returning with Advance Parole
My AP was approved on 1/6/17. Two weeks ago I shared my story here. I originally had my flight for 1/22/17 , but I canceled because I was afraid Trump will cancel daca while I was in my home country(Ecuador). I decided to leave on 1/24/17. I made a stop in Panama city and from there took another flight to Quito Ecuador. When I came back 1/31/17 I as well made a stop in Panama city. I had to pass immigration in Ecuador. The only questions the immigration agent ask me was "How long did you stay?" When I made stop in Panama City I had to pass through security once again. Before I aboard the plane I was asked to show my residence or U.S passport which I showed my AP. I was able to aboard on the plane. When I arrived to JFK New york on 1/31/17 around 2;30Am.I got in line "non visa" When It was my turn the homeland just ask me "what you have for me?" I showed him my advance parole. I asked if he needed to see my work permit or social. He nicely responded "NO". I had to do finger prints. As well he told me he is going take me to a room US Custom and Border Protection he told me not to get scared that I will be there for five minutes. I waited inside the room where I had to wait for about five minutes to receive my stamp ( advance parole entrance). I was not ask any questions or had to show my work permit or social. It was really quick.

Has anyone traveled to Guatemala
Hey Everyone!! It is definitely exciting to hear that people are getting AP approval and traveling. I for one was just approved, and received my approval letter on the 28th of January, however, I don't have a valid passport, I have one but it's expired. The Guatemalan consulate in SF could not re-issue my passport due to not having some new document they need in order to issue any Guatemalan a passport. However, they did give a temporary travel document, in order to enter Guatemala. I'm frightened that a CBP will not let me back in because I don't have a valid passport. I did an Info pass appointment on the 27th and the lady said that my AP document was what i needed to get back in regardless of my passport, she said that technically i don't "need" the passport. Anyhow, I have until February 20th to make the trip to see my grandfather (traveling on humanitarian AP), has anyone had this dilemma?? or am I the only one on this boat :-(.

Good Luck to everyone who is traveling soon!!

Update
Hi guys!

It's me again, Isabel. So I'm in Ecuador already having such a great time, I can't thank God enough. Every morning I wake up thankful that I see my grandmother and I'm here in my childhood home. It's still a bit never racking thinking about going back but then I start to talk to God and I'm at peace. This is my 5th day here and I'm having a great time over here people don't even talk about trump so that helps lol. I urge anyone that will be traveling to not worry and just do it, God allowed you to have this amazing opportunity this is no time to doubt him now, he will never leave you. Much love to you guys I will give another update once I return which will be the 11th I'll be at the airport but won't touch ground until the 12th. So happy and thankful to hear all the great stories you guys have shared about coming back, praying for many more blessings, hope you guys can keep me in your prayers as well. Talk soon! God bless.

Advanced Parole
Hi everyone,

I have been really emotional lately when it comes to reading all this stories here, I feel extremely identified and It just gets to me all the time.I wanted to share my timeline so far.

- December 20,2016 lawyer sent form for Advanced Parole
- December 22,2016 USCIS received my I-131 form for Advanced Parole
- January 13,2017 received a receipt notice
- January 23,2017 I called USCIS to get my case expedited
- January 25,2017 received an email from USCIS that stated that my case was assigned to an officer, that also stated that they reviewed my case and had determine that they needed additional information to make a decision regarding my request,so they are asking for an official doctors diagnosis and for a treatment plan, which I should be receiving at any time, I hope their response is fast since they did provide me with a number to fax it.

I haven't seen my mom in 8 years now, btw im 22 so for the most important dates of my life she wasen't able to be there, Im trying to stay positive and praying to god I get to see her again

Bendiciones a todos
