Advance Parole

Hi everyone,

I have been really emotional lately when it comes to reading all this stories here, I feel extremely identified and It just gets to me all the time.I wanted to share my timeline so far.

- December 20,2016 lawyer sent form for Advanced Parole
- December 22,2016 USCIS received my I-131 form for Advanced Parole
- January 13,2017 received a receipt notice
- January 23,2017 I called USCIS to get my case expedited
- January 25,2017 received an email from USCIS that stated that my case was assigned to an officer, that also stated that they reviewed my case and had determine that they needed additional information to make a decision regarding my request,so they are asking for an official doctors diagnosis and for a treatment plan, which I should be receiving at any time, I hope their response is fast since they did provide me with a number to fax it.

I haven't seen my mom in 8 years now, btw im 22 so for the most important dates of my life she wasen't able to be there, Im trying to stay positive and praying to god I get to see her again

Has anyone s returned to the US using a valid EAD and Advance Parole combo card, post the new Executive orders?
We have entered a few times using the combo card in the past, but I am unsure about the current situation. I have an Indian passport and wanted to see if anyone has any first hand experience.

Hello to everybody.
I just have a question if you are so kind to clarify to me.
I am going back to US soon and I have my AP card received on October 2016 with expire date on August 2017. I received a combo card EAD with additional sentence in front saying "it serves as Advance Parole".
This is the only document I have (of course plus my passport). Because I read many people carry approved form 512 (original and copy) I am confused because I just have a combo card.

Can you please help me to understand if I am ok or not.

I'am driving to Mexico this Friday night and coming back Monday morning. I will post how everything went. For people who have already traveled and came back after Jan 20, 2017 please leave any tips or advice I should know about, I appreciate in advance. :)

Hello everyone! My husband received his approved Advance Parole on Monday. We used to be excited and anxious to receive it, but now that Trump is president and with all the executive orders he has been signing, the thought of traveling is EXTREMELY scary. Our attorney advised my husband to wait and NOT travel right now. I have asked different attorneys for their opinion and some say to go ahead and go and some say not to move at the moment which is no help to us in making a decision. I wanted to see if there was anyone who had been out of the country with Advance Parole after January 20, 2017 through air (since that's what he would be doing if he does go). My husband was wanting to do a quick trip over the weekend, but scared for something to happen while being out of the country and not being allowed to return :( Please, if anyone can share their experience with us we would really appreciate it. Hello guys I'm so happy to read that a lot of people are getting approved for their AP and some great experiences on their entry back. How ever i would like some advice onto what should I take in tomorrow for my info pass appointment and what should I say. My AP is for humanitarian reason I have all the doctors letters and birth certificates and my file. What would I need 2 passport photos for I red someone said to take those in. Anything will be very helpful. Thanx.

Guys I left to Mexico on Thur day night and came back last night every thing went very smooth it is nerve racking but just have faith and be positive, the CBP did not ask me any questions at all I just had to wait like 10 min to get my form stamped and everything was ok. All you guys who will be traveling soon just let your faith be bigger than your fears and every will work out for you, was a huge blessing to see my grandmother and father after 16 years. Just remember Jesus never fails.
