Emergency AP and regular AP
I had filed for regular AP that USCIS agreed to expedite. While it was being expedited I got an emergency AP. I had confirmed with two officers at the field office that the emergency AP would not interfere with the processing of regular AP. Was even told that if I need to stay overseas beyond the expiration of emergency AP then I would need to have the physical regular AP on hand. And, at the port of entry I was told to tell the officer that I left on e AP and then that am using the regular AP to get back.

However, the service center sent EAD only and not a combo card. The reason I have been told is that they will not issue regular AP when on e AP. That I would need to be back before e AP expires and then surrender the e AP to the service center.

This has been very confusing. My whole plan was based on the fact that the officers at the field office assured that the processing of the regular AP (expedite) would not be affected by e AP. My lawyer also confirmed on that. But the officer at the service center chose to think differently?

Does any one of you have any ideas on how to proceed? Obviously, someone is wrong here and I need to know who. If it is the service center then is there any article that I can reference to have them reconsider to issue the regular AP?

Advanced Parole
Hi all,

I wanted to share my story with advanced parole. I am US Citizen and my husband has DACA we applied for his advanced parole on December of 2016 we got an approval letter in July 2017. The reason that we did was because of my husband's eldely grandfather that he hadn't seen in 20 years. Our lawyer only requested One day for us to be able to go when we received the parole documents it said we could travel from July through December we were nervous about the one day because on the document it said Valid for ONE day in big red letters. We decided to leave on 8/25/17 through Denver International Airport and got to Mexico City on 8/26/17 morning. We came back on 8/27/17. We were so nervous but when we arrived back here to Denver and had to go through immigration the lady was so great no Questions asked! They let me be with my husband they didn't take him into another room to be questioned like other stories that I've seen on here. The immigration lady just stampped his ap document and said you're good to go. She did check the date his passport was stamped in Mexico but no other questions. We were out of there in less than 10 minutes.

I prayed to God everyday for a safe trip. But for the people that are debating whether to go DO IT! It was so worth it meeting family and getting to spend at least a day with them was great!

AP issued for future date.
Can I travel abroad before the "issued date" of my AP, and come back after the issued date?

My document says "issued date: November 1st 2017"

And I want to travel on October 12th and come back on November 3rd 2017.

Is this possible?

Advance Parole-Round 2
Hello all! A little background info about my situation: Last September I traveled through advance parole (daca) for humanitarian reasons. I got to visit my sick grandparents for 2 weeks. I flew from Leon, Guanajuato back to Chicago, IL. The trip back to the US was very easy. I was prepared to answer any questions, I had copies of everything I had ever gotten from immigration. When I arrived at Chicago Midway Airport, I stood in the visitor line and once I was called up to the agent, he look over my passport and 2 copies of advance parole document. He did not ask a thing, took a few minutes to look stuff up on his computer then stamped my advance parole paper and I was on my way. Easy as that!

Now, my grandparents have passed away and I would like to go back and give them a "final goodbye". My questions is...is it too much of a risk to travel again under similar circumstances? Will it affect me in any way. Any feedback is appreciated!

Advance parole date issued for future.
I received my document with "issued date: November 1st 2017"

I bought already 1400 USD in non refundable tickets for September (after I got the approval notice), since I did not know it was possible to have a document issued for future dates.

Can I travel before that issue date?

AP to Philippines
Hello guys,

Is there anyone here, traveled to the Philippines lately using Advance Parole?
I am currently applying for AP for humanitarian purpose. My mother has stage 4 colon cancer and was given months to live by her doctors.
I am not sure what to expect and how the process will work? Can anyone share with me their experience? Documents to bring and to present going there and coming back?

I would really appreciate your assistance. Thank you so much.

Advance Parole Produced
My husband received notification via USCIS website of the following -
Advance Parole Document Was Produced

On August 15, 2017, we produced your Advance Parole Document for your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document,

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the document? We would like to leave to visit his family on 9/1/17. Also, can we fly with his EAD and AP Document. We live in Houston, Texas and would like to visit Mexico.
