Advance Parole
Hi all,

I have been on here since November 18, 2016, the day I submitted my advance parole package through Daca. It was very frustrating seeing other people's applications getting approved in a matter of weeks to visit their spouse's grandparents while I submitted mine to visit my grandpa and it just got approved July 19, 2017. I received the document 7/25/2017 and I will be traveling 8/11-8/16 to Guanajuato.
I work at an immigration firm and everyone of my attorneys has told me it is very risky to go right now especially with the new lawsuit possibly going into play on September 5, 2017. They also said it's up to me and sometimes it's better to just take the risk. I have seen many successful stories on here and all I can do is hope for the best because it's in God's hands now.

Document was mailed to me?
Hi All,

My husband and I filed for advance parole to visit his grandfather in Mexico in November 2016. We finally received a notice yesterday, July 27th that a document was sent in the mail, what could this be? We haven't received anything else but the receipt saying that it was received and processing before this. If it was approved it would say approved right? I just don't want to get too excited if it could possibly be a letter saying it was unable to be processed. He is a DACA recipient and his DACA expires in December, we are currently filing for his renewal as well.

Advance Parole
Hi All,

My husband and I applied for an advance parole for him so we could visit his sickly grandfather in Mexico. I am a US citizen, we mailed out the application Form I-797C December 18, 2016 USCIS received the documents on December 28, 2016 and mailed us a notice of action January 11, 2017 stating that the case has been received and is in process. Our lawyer told us it usually took 3-6 months to hear back from them. We are starting to get worried as we have not yet received any updates on this. He is a DACA recipient, he came here with his family when he was only 5 years old, neither of us have any criminal history. I would really appreciate any input or experiences you could share. Thank you have a blessed day.

Do you have experience of traveling with advance parole as asylum applicant?
Hey. I have my AP ready and I am hesitant about go to visit my sick father because I read a lot of successful experiences here based on DACA. But my case is not related to DACA. If you have an experience as asylum applicant, please let me know about your trip. Thank you.

DACA-AP Nebraska Service Center
I submitted my advance parole application for humanitarian reasons on July 10, 2017. They received it on July 24 and sent it to Nebraska Service Center. I asked them if I could go for a month on September 15 or any other time I just needed to see my sick 82 year old grandma. HOWEVER! I am really scared that they do end up taking DACA away on September 5th like they are saying. Has anyone gotten an early approval? also I heard Nebraska center takes a long time..so am I'm really really afraid I don't get to travel ):

ADVANCED PAROLE TPS
Hi everyone,

I took my trip with AP (TPS Haiti) and came back July 7th. I went through JFK, they stamped my passport and AP and returned one of the AP documents to me. No questions asked, process took less than 10mins. Thank God!!

So I've been busy with the process of applying for adjustment, sent out I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765 and now the wait for another long process resumes lol.

FYI: It took 5 months to get my AP approval and 2 days from the approval to get it in the mail.

Advance parole while 485 is pending
Hi All,

I recently applied for an adjustment of status in March 2017. I did my biometrics and received my EAD card but did not interview yet.
I am planning on traveling in October back to Africa for a wedding.
I am wondering if I can apply for advance parole if the reason is for a wedding?
Did anybody had an experience similar to mine?

Thank you in advance,
