Check this out people, my lawyer just told me this...
"As a general rule, you cannot apply for a green card if you entered without inspection. However, I recently came across a case in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals that suggests that they will treat TPS as an admission."

I got my AP but I am scared to travel as my asylum pending
Hey guys. Thanks to this wonderful site and people here for a lot of help. Even though, I read all positive experiences here and made me feel better I still confused because I did not see similiar situation as I have in this forum. Most of the people have green cards already or do adjustment of status through marriage. I am still waiting for an interview about my asylum case. I came here with student visa and overstayed it for a year then applied for asylum and they accepted everything and now I have work permit. I know AP is lifting a 3/10 years ban so this is not a problem. I am traveling to Kazahstan to see my father. He has a cancer and will have operation soon and I am not sure If I will see him again If I would not take this opportunity. I am so stressed and i am in state of depression. I wanna go but scared for my re-entry to US later.

- Do some people traveled with AP with a similiar situation?

I just want some endorsement to take this opportunity or I should not do it....

Houston, TX
I am wondering did any one come back through Houston, TX with advance parole and if so what was your experience?

I am a US citizen, my husband has advance parole and we are bringing our US citizen child. What line should we use? Will I be able to go with him to inspection? Our layover is only a 1 hour and 30 minutes. I wonder if we will have enough time. Has anyone miss their connection flight? How did that work for you.

humanitarian reason: visit sick family member
Hi There! im getting ready to just complete my own and go do emergency advance parole in the san diego field office. I will share everything as i go along in hopes that i can help someone else too :)

im applying via humanitarian and want to make it as brief as possible. I dont have alot of money so plane tickets to cuernavaca my hometown are spotty right now.

1. if we get approved to visit sick relative in TJ (husbands father who suffers from constant pain due to prolonged alcoholism for instance) what else would i need to prove besides doctors note?

I can also get approved by saying i need to visit sick grandparents in cuernavaca and just come back shortly after without flying there. again 2 people flying plus the application fee is so expensive! do you think they will want to see pictures of them when they question me?

2. also has anyone's experience coming into US through San Diego port of entry been different?

im ready to start gathering evidence just kinda scared that they will ask me all kinds of questions coming in and demand to see more proof. any feedback helps! thanks!

Processing Time
Hi guys,

so I am seeing mixed reviews...

I am trying to apply my Advanced Parole with my DACA status soon for humanitarian reasons, and because of where I live, my application will go to the Nebraska Center.

I have read reviews where people say it took them almost a year to get approved and also where people say they got theirs approved within a month or two. I want to travel this December, and this may be my very last chance....

Which USCIS centers did you guys all send your applications to?

Thanks!

Back home safe! Via LAX
Hello Guys,

Thanks to all those who have shared their experience on this forum. You gave me courage to apply for AP via DACA on my own and travel to MEX after 23 years to see my sick grandfather!

I flew back to LAX from MEX, the process was smooth. On arrival, I was in and out within 15 mins. There was no wait lines and no crowds on the second room.

I was not asked any questions with the first officer, my finger prints and picture where updated, on the second room "inspection" All I was asked for was "how long was I out of the country and if I enjoyed my trip". Soon after my Passport was stamped as well as both AP Docs. I was given one back.

I read a few articles regarding the recent hot topics with DACA and I still went for it. I was ready and maintained positive. This is an opportunity we can't miss out on.

I will admit that even though I read 100% positive experiences and countless researching I was freaking out my entire time in MEX for my return..when I shouldn't have.

Help please
Sorry I'm new to this forum thing. I just have a question I need to ask. Maybe somebody has gone through the same thing as me or is simply well informed.

I am hoping to get approved for advanced parole. It would be a humanitarian reason, to see my sick grandmother. I understand I need a doctors letter and i need to prove we are related. I have my Mexican birth certificate.

I lost my work permit (EAD)!! I still have my approval letter and ssn. I will also have an indiana state driver license or ID. I also have my Mexican passport. Will I be able to travel without the Work permit (EAD)??
Has anybody traveled without their EAD and only used their state ID/Drivers license.

Please... any input is accepted and greatly appreciated.

Thank you much

evidence and wait times
hello everyone i would like to share my current situation with all of you in hope of getting some feedback from someone who has gone thru this, i would really appreciate all your comments, thank you in advance.

i applied for advance parole on June 20, 2017 for humanitarian purpose - wrote a declaration letter stating that i wanted to visit my home country Mexico to visit my father who i havent seen in 18 years. (did not submit any other evidence)

i received my receipt notice about a week after i applied, stating my case was being processed.

7/10/17 - this week my father sent me a letter from a doctor stating he has diabetes and high blood pressure (which i was unaware of since we only recently started having communication )

i am thinking it would be a good idea to send my and his birth certicate along with the letter (transalted ) to uscis . and on the cover letter write (supporting documentation for case ######## )

however this morning i called my uscis to ask if it was ok to send those documents even though they have not asked for them and they said i should wait until they request additional evidence and my case is put on hold...

im not sure what i should do, specially because of all the things being said about daca being in risk of getting canceled in september... do you all have any advice ?...

thank you all for any comments or advice
