Waiting
Hi I have been waiting since 5/19 Vermont SC, my extension expires in January. I was going to go get an I551 stamp but I've read on here that it's not needed unless I need to travel/new job ? Is that true

Using old biometrics
Just an update ... We (husband is the immigrant) sent I-751 in at the top of September. About 10 days later got Receipt notice. Approx six weeks later (second week of Oct, maybe mid-month, as not in front of paperwork) we got the note (Status Checked online and letter in mail) that they are going to use previously-used Biometrics. This all is coming out of the Nebraska service center. Anyone with similar course of events from Nebraska who might provide info is appreciated, as we are just in WAIT mode now. (We are hoping no interview will be needed, and maybe just a “your card is on its way” is coming at some point... February? If we are lucky as i THINK some folks have been.

N-400 application
I need help about what documents I need either online or paper to attach with the form N-400?

Do I still need to send supporting documents like when I applied for I-751 and I-485? I am still married and it’s based on 3 years marriage. Your response will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot. I need an advice which is faster to apply online or paper.

Vermont - Transferred to NBC
Desperately need opinions:

Waiver filer
 9/6/19: Case received Vermont Office
9/20/19: 18 months extension received
10/18/19: Bio done
6/1/20: New Address updated (New York City)
7/29/20: Status updated Case transferred to a local office to have an interview scheduled.
Couple of hours later still on 7/29/20, new status updated: Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction.
8/10/20: Notice stated the case was transferred to NBC office - reason: for scheduling an interview
After that nothing, even USCIS offices in New York City 5 of them fully open for business

Does anyone have the same situation? Case stuck at NBC? or got status updated twice in a very short period of time like mine?

Thanks,

New Card Is Being Produced
Hi everyone, I followed this forum ever since I applied for my i751 in January. This was also a helpful tool putting everything together for the application, so thank you to everyone contributing here and the admins.

Here is my timeline:

Jan, 29th 2020 - Case Was Received
Feb, 15th 2020 - Received 18 Month Extension
Mar, 6th 2020 - Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken
Oct, 30th 2020 - New Card Is Being Produced

So it took exactly 274 days or 9 months and 1 day.

Anyone knows how long it takes now to receive the green card after this update. Thank you and good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Stay positive.

Just got the notification I have been waiting for! (I751)
I751 Received Date : 03/05/2020 , Texas Service center
My old biometrics were applied after 2 weeks.

Initial Supporting Documents sent :
1. Last 3 years of Taxes
2. 10 Photographs
3. 2 Affidavits from our in-laws
4. Adress proof - Driver's Licenses
5. Insurance Cards - we both are on same plan
6. Common Bank account Statements - only Latest statements

**We sent so many documents when we initially filled for GC thus this time I thought of not sending them... boy was I wrong :D

Got RFE in August, 2020 and we sent the RFE by end of September which was received on Oct 1, 2020.
In RFE they stated we did not give enough evidence for joint finances covering last 2 years and they were not able to verify our Tax returns.

Supporting Documents sent with RFE :
1. Last 3 years of Taxes - along with Transcript from IRS (you can get this from IRS website)
2. Common Bank statements for last 3 years - detailed description of our house rent/grocery/car installments
3. Mortgage Application - we are looking for a house thus we initiate one application
4. Insurance coverage plan details along with the coverage dates starting from 2018 (I got a letter from the insurance provider for the same)
5. More Affidavits - 2 more from friends
6. A letter from our land lord stating that we have been living together at the same place from last 3 years
7. When we married in India our wedding was published in a local newspaper (yes as wedding took place in a typical village) thus sent the newspaper(as I still have 4 left lol) along with the online newspaper website link.
8. Provided our social media handles too as we both are very active on the same.
9. More photographs, around 30 this time
10. Car purchase document with both our names on the Title and on the loan
11. Car Loan Payments from last 3 years (We linked the payment from the documents generated from the Car Loan company to our common bank account)

Today on Oct 30th, 2020 I checked the status and it said new card is being produced.

I know the wait is unbearable, and it could be depressing. Stay strong and have faith in yourself, you will get it one day.

cheers!

Thank you all for publishing your experiences as they helped me a lot!!
