I751 Jointly but now divorcing
06/06/2019 I751 Filled Jointly
06/20/2019 Extension Letter Received
11/18/2019 Fingerprints Done
04/15/2020 RFE Received
09/01/2020 Replied to RFE!!!!! (COVID19 Extension)
09/16/2020 Response to RFE was received

Been married to her since June 2016. She was addicted to drugs before I got marry to her & changed her life completely. Tried my best to keep her away from her family (not forcefully, but she agreed that married her life is a lot better than what it was before and she didn't talk to her family either for years). In September, after I sent the RFE she left the house without any notice. It took me a bit to figure out what happened & where she is & stuff like that.

Anyway, now she is blackmailing me to even sign divorce, and she is back on drugs! What will be my best option here? The timeframe above is correct.

If I receive an interview notification immediately, will it still possible to switch to I751 Waiver ?

Very stressed. May God help us all !!!

Hello Everyone
Nebraska:
09/06/2019 Case Was Received
01/23/202 Fingerprints
10/15 REF letter sent
10/21 REF letter received

They do not specifically what do they want in REF. They said that I can include jontly financial, lease agreement, bills, letters from third parties, etc.

From your experiance, what should I include in the REF? How long it would take to hear back from them? Can they be unhappy of what I sent? If they are still unhappy with the REF I sent, would they ask for more REF, or they will automatically denided my case?

Thanks!!

Now I'm going through the divorce and will be filing my waiver upon receipt of final divorce decree. My only concern is that my mother-in-law was my sponsor and she reached out to me to let me know that she's going to withdraw her sponsorship since I'm not in relationship with my wife. Although, I know that she can't do that as I've already been granted the conditional Green-card, but if she reaches out to USCIS she will probably going to tell that my marriage was fraudulent and I only did that to gain the residency in the states which is simply not true. We went to the counseling sessions multiple times but it didn't work out. So finally we had to agree to go our separate ways.

What do you guys think? Can it possibly ruin my chances? Also, has anybody been through a similar situation? what were your experiences?

Any advice or input will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Pending I751 and N400
Hi guys,
This blog has been very helpful, and so I’ve been sharing my experience and here’s the latest status.
Today, after 22 months waiting we finally had our I751 interview. Mind this, while waiting for the updates on this case our N400 interview was scheduled and cancelled twice: first time because of the covid lockdown, second time - because they were waiting for both cases to get transferred to the local office and adjudicate both simultaneously. This however didn’t happen, and today we only had our i751 interview.... Sad but at least once case moved further...

So we arrived 15 minutes prior. There were lots of people sitting inside, although all seated 6 feet apart. About an hour later we finally got called in. The officer asked us a ton of questions, including every single detail on how we met, who was wearing what, where we met, what food we had, etc etc. This was almost ridiculous lol. While asking us questions, he kept taking notes and looking at us as if trying to catch a lie or something. He was super respectful and polite, of course, but veeeeery sneaky and suspicious lol. But we’ve been together for 6 years now, 4.5 of which married , so we don’t know why he was being so onto us, although he kind of calmed down towards the end of our hour long interview. Now we’re waiting for the case status to update and for our N400 interview. Everything takes too long...
