Correcting an expired GC after submission of I-751
My wife's GC has on country of origin "Palestine (Born before 1948).
In all the paperwork, we wrote "West Bank" and when offered the option "Palestinian Authority".
When the GC came with "Palestine (Born before 1948)", we thought it meant that it was some geopolitical way of saying, it was called Palestine before 1948.
When we went to the biometric appointment, my wife was asked about this and she said that this was the GC given to us. They did not advise us to apply for replacement and said "pick Israel or Jordan", so she picked Jordan and she requested to put a note that her actual GC has Palestine born before 1948 on it, but electronically changed it to Jordan in the USCIS system.
She went to the DMV to renew her learning permit, they refused her GC with the I-797 extension, and asked her to get the I-551 stamp or replace her GC.
My question: Can you replace an expired GC for correction purposes after it expired while you are pending I-751? Does this interfere with the I-751 process?
My processing center is Vermont, we are at point where it says finger prints were taken. Sep 6, 2019.

Hello is there anyone else who still waiting for the 751 updates since august 2018? My service center is Vermont
August 7th received the case
Few days later i received extension letter for my GC
November 28th biometrics 2018
Since then no update online or letter.
My extension letter will expire in April 2020.
Is just me or someone else having issues too?

Filed 6/2/19, Extension letter 8/2/19, Biometric 9/3/19,fingerprint applied to my case 11/29/19 ,New card produce 1/16/20, The process took 11 months and 1week. Service office Nebraska. CR6. THANK GOD

What type of updates you get online?
I know there is a letter coming from immigration but I’m having a baby and can’t get the mail, online it doesn’t say anything Just the message from when they received my paper (I got the extension paper in July 2019) and I’m wondering if the request more evidence it will show up on the webpage or by the contrary it is just the biometrics letter and that’s why it doesn’t show up.
Any ideas?

Hi guys, l sent my i751 application to Texas Serbia center, after 1 week l got extension letter but that letter came from Potomac service center?

My I 751 time frame for entire process
Time frame for I - 751 as below.
- Mailed -6/5/19 , Received - 6/10/19, check cashed - 6/14/19 and received notice on 6/17/19.
- Finger print notice received 10/28/19 to be taken on 11/7/19 and 11/13/19 - status update of Finger print applied to case.
-01/13/20 - status update - card being produced
-01/14/20 - I 751 approved.
- 01/15/20 - approved notice mailed.
-01/16/20 - Card mailed.
Took about 6 months for entire process to be completed for Service center YSC - Promotac

1. got married 01/20/2017
2. I got my 2 year GC 01/31/2018 till 01/31/2020
3. I applied my i751 11/01/2019. next week i got my NOA 18 month extension
4. 12/09/2019 my Biometric done after I got massage your biometric finger print apply to your case.. after that no update..
My question is should i apply for N400? My marriage 3 years done in 01/20/202 or I have to wait for my 10year GC. I read so many experience here but its make me confused. If anyone has some knowledge than let me know

BIOMETRICS FOR ALL?

I'll be filing Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence in the next month.
Thanks for all the insightful comments.
TWO questions:
1. Does everyone get a notice to update Biometrics within a few months of filing? Anyone not have to submit?
2. Better/ faster to file from New York by USPS to the USCIS in Dallas? Or by FedEx to Lewisville, TX?
Otherwise, doesn't seem to be as challenging providing evidence as the original submission and interview. Any words of advice? (We still don't have a shared bank account but have shared credit cards, insurance, lease, phone bills, etc).
