Processing Time
I was told that USCIS communicated they are having challenges with the processing times and now, in order to receive your new green card (10 years), the process is taking 24 months. Does anyone have info about this? Do we need to request an appointment with USCIS, so, they can stamp my passport?

I-751 Timeline
Hi everyone, just got my 10-yr permanent resident card today and I wanna share my timeline.
My temporary green card was supposed to expire in April, and I sent my files to Homeland Security in late February. they received it in early March.

April 22th: USCIS is able to reuse your previous finger print.
August 06th: Card is taken by a mailer.
August 07th: Card is delivered.

And I got my card today! I am very lucky that it took overall less than 6 months to receive my card.
Good luck to everyone.

Silly Question
Hi everyone,

Just had some quick questions. Preparing all my paperwork to send out next month and I just wanted to quickly ask:
1. Does it matter the date I use on Form I-751?
Should I use the date when I fill it out and sign it or should I use the date that is my earliest file date? Or does it even matter lol

2. The letters from family and friends, should I send in originals or copies?

3. Don’t have a lease but letter from landlord. Should I sent original or copy?

Some of you may think I’m asking stupid questions but I just want to dot my i’s and cross my t’s. Thanks for you help!

Removal of conditions - Applying I-751 with or without a lawyer?
Hello friends, I need to apply for i-751 too. I wanted to check with the community if I need an attorney or it is a simple process to apply by myself? Mine is a straightforward case - still married, with joint accounts and investments and living in the same house etc. Thank you for your responses.
